Lewis, one of seven fifth-year seniors on the Buckeyes, was among those who had bittersweet emotions that Friday was his final game.

“I love this university so much, man,” Lewis said. “I wish there was more time, but moving on.”

award for mgp (most gentlemanly player) goes to tyquan lewis...

Just realized watching this again the refs ejected the wrong #28. The #28 that was playing (with helmet on) came in and shoved Malik Harrison, and the ref is clearly looking right at him when he throws his flag in the air. The #28 that was not playing, the one in the doo rag on the bench, didn't do anything. That was the guy escorted off.

other 28 came in and threw a shove/"punch" that started it up a second time.

I think the 2nd #28 threw a punch at the end and he left the bench area to do it. He wasn't in the play. I think that's why he got tossed. They got it right.

How Ohio State players fared in Day 2 of 2018 Senior Bowl practice

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The process of getting into the NFL continued on Wednesday for Ohio State's Jalyn Holmes and Tyquan Lewis.

The duo of defensive ends are in Mobile, Ala., participating in the Senior Bowl and completed the second day of practice on Wednesday. Holmes and Lewis are the two players representing the Buckeyes in this year's game. Both are playing for the North team as they each try to impress NFL general managers, coaches and scouts before April's NFL Draft.

Holmes and Lewis were part of a deep defensive line in Columbus. Events like the Senior Bowl are allowing the two the opportunity to stand out on their own.

Don't forget to check out how they performed on Day 1.

Here's a look at how the two players did during Wednesday's practice session.

Holmes continued to put some impressive plays on display. Wearing No. 91 this week, he showed that although he is listed at 279 pounds, that doesn't mean he's slow. As you can see in these clips, he has plenty of speed and quickness to burn.....

Jonathan Valencia of BreakingFootball.com reported that Holmes met with scouts from both the Eagles and Panthers after practice. The Eagles also met with Lewis on Tuesday.

Valencia added that Lewis spoke with the Dolphins.

Lewis had another good day of practice on Wednesday. He faced some extremely tough competition as you would expect from the Senior.....

Tyquan Lewis was twice a captain of the Ohio State football team. He was a two time first-team All-Big Ten selection and the 2016 Big Ten Smith-Brown Defensive Lineman of the Year.

No Buckeye has played more than Lewis' 55 games, and only four Buckeyes have recorded more than his 23.5 career sacks. Tyquan Lewis has a National Championship ring and five pairs of Gold Pants.

2018 NFL Draft Profile — Ohio State DE Tyquan Lewis

Tyquan-Lewis-Signing.jpg

Tyquan Lewis, DE | 2018 NFL Draft Profile
Ht: 6-3 2/8
Wt: 265
40: 4.69
Bench: DNP

Overall Rank: No. 109
Position Rank: No. 13 Edge Rusher

A smart, strong player who defends the run effectively, Lewis can play multiple positions but lacks the top-end flexibility and burst to be an elite edge rushing threat.
STRENGTHS
• Play Strength
• Use of Hands
• Competitive Toughness
• Key & Diagnose
• Eye Discipline
• Against the Run

WEAKNESSES
• Athletic Ability
• Flexibility
• Cornering
• Burst Up the Arc

PROJECTIONS
One-Year Projection: : A smart run defender who doesn’t lack physicality has a place in the NFL. The questionable athletic ability is the issue, however he will see special teams work in his first year, while his savvy run defense could lead to early down work in 4-3 systems.

Three-Year Projection: Lewis should be starting at defensive end by year three, and while he is limited athletically, he can be an effective player in an early down role, who could build on his understanding of the nuances of football. With the right coaching and system, it’s not out of the question that Lewis generates steady sacks every year, but I don’t see this prospect as a double digit sack machine in the NFL.

SUMMARY
Former 4-star recruit out of Norfolk, Virginia who was used effectively in multiple fronts for the Buckeyes, which include 1T, 3T, 5T, and OLB in four-, three-, and two- point stances. Frame is not maxed out, but he is incredibly long and carries his weight extremely well, with a muscular build and chiseled midsection, while having very long arms, large hands, good height, very good weight, and good athletic ability, which is displayed with his very good quickness, foot speed, lateral agility, and balance.

Good explosiveness of the line of scrimmage, when he times the snap well, and establishes good inside hand placement on the edge versus tackles. Sets the edge, while utilizing extension, and is good vs. the run, while showing a very good ability to stack and shed blocks, while constricting gaps with his lateral flow and very good mental processing. Does a good job getting horizontal and minimizing his chest.

Utilizes a good combination of push-pull/arm over to use the momentum of OL and disengage base blocks. Good foot quickness and location skills, to challenge reach blocks, and uses his length to his advantage in this situation. Good interior/edge pass-rusher with good upfield burst and violent use of hands that use power chops, clubs, swims, and flashed a solid inside spin move.
