Unfortunate, yes... but we are #2 slightly behind Nebraska. I don't feel so bad that he was a scUM when he was younger, since they are not even in his top 4.
We didn't exactly give kids much to root for in the 90s if they were choosing whether to root for OSU/UM (hence kids like CWells and others that have come around now that JT's in town).

I was rooting for OSU... I'm just saying we got dominated by scUM all decade, and so a casual fan that sees the two teams is gonna like them much better. They won a national title, while we fell short every time we had the chance.

I hate those years, but even tho our overall record was better and we were ranked at the top more... they took it to us in The Game and had the title that was always just out of reach for Cooper.

Cooper always managed to lose a game the Buckeyes were supposed to win. :(

Tressel tends to keep the kids more psyched up for each game.
IMO :oh: :io:

Meanwhile, I'm hoping the kids see the advantages of playing for tOSU. Great school with a great tradition and support.

I don't get into the recruiting thing to ambitiously until after the kids sigh their LOIs. To me, the recruiting game calls for to much guess work and speculation. I haven't been disappointed with any of Tressel and staffs' recruiting classes. :)

Say we get Walter... and Rose comes on board as well... we will be absolutely stacked at DE. Does Rose move to TE (it has been said he could play there)? Does Lawrence Wilson move to TE? If either of the move positions.. do we bring Jake Ballard in as a OT or DT instead of TE? I guess it is a good thing to have these problems .

There is a lot of talk that Rose could become a great DT as well... so that is always a possibility.

Watched the video of Walter on Sunshine Preps this morning...WOW. This kid is a speed-rushing maniac of a DE. He is extremely quick, espcially with his first few steps. He changes direction very well so he would be a great DE to use as a spy. His video makes me think he is a DE all the way, but at 235 you could certainly bulk him up a little more and make him a sack artist DT to go opposite a run stuffing DT like a Nader Abdallah. I am very impressed with Walter...
