DE Zach Harrison (All B1G, Atlanta Falcons)

Here's the defensive play of the game:

And it was made by Zach Harrison on the pass rush/strip sack, not Haskell Garrett's fumble recovery & TD run (although that was good too). And we could have used more pass rushes like that one (in the game) too.

Great play ..Zach I know you didn’t play that many plays in a row. If they are using that model..be relentless every play that relentless nature made Chase and the Bosa’s stand out. Be relentless..

Rewatched some highlights and noticed that Zach’s strip sack couldn’t have come at a better time. Watch Demario McCall in coverage to the right side.

Nobody can question DMC's loyalty and dedication and I don't mean to run down a player... AND, I have to question playing someone with no experience who's not any bigger than I am and hasn't been able to crack and/or stay in the lineup on offense or special teams at CORNER. He scares the hell out of me back there. Every CB is one play away from a TD, I've got to think that his margin for error is much thinner.

Not to shock you, but there are a lot of corners sub 6ft tall. Winfield might be one of the shortest dudes I've seen on a football field. I still wouldn't throw at him.

Thanks. Not really the point, though. The point as to his size was that perhaps a CB novice with more length might be able to mitigate some of his inexperience. Yes, Winfield was one of the best ever, but was, I don't think there's any question, the exception to the rule. He's certainly not, at this point, a valid comparator for McCall.

If it hasn’t been stated before, it probably should be now: His career has been rather underwhelming. I don’t think he’s been a disappointment by any stretch, he’s only a Junior, but certainly nowhere even close to what was anticipated out of a consensus 5-star.

The expectations were probably always unfair given the fact tOSU has had three generational players at this position in a handful of years. That being said, his impact on the field has been fairly negligible up until this point.

Sometimes 5 stars are based almost entirely on projected development of elite athletes

Not what they have proven they are.

He fits the clear definition of that. And yes, many of us knew he was coming to OSU raw and needed some fine tuning. But his athleticism on paper was scary enough to at least make him a one dimensional pass rusher at worst at this point. Harrison has been almost a non factor this season so far and last

High ceiling but low floor. He looks like Tarzan and well you know.

Agree with both sentiments, I’m just simply pointing out that he’s never shown to be the difference maker you hear/read about. It’s almost like he’s defaulted to given how highly touted he was coming in.
