As always it's never just one thing but in my mind the overriding factor was how long the D was left on the field in the second half.

3 consecutive TO's and all we give up is a single TD and that was stopped but for a coaching snafu(accepting the penalty).

The more I rewatch that game the better I feel.

The Shoe

Hey I agree with an Earlier statement from "The Shoe" that I think our system is fine and all but I would like to see us attack more and be alittle tighter in our coverage and just press alittle or something! I'm worried about this game coming up. We need a very good game from Our D-line this week to come out of there with a Win.

Is our D-line great. No. But it aint bad either. We have lost a lot of great players the last two years. So we arent gonna be like them but i would still take what we got over 8-9 of the teams in the big ten. Plus, this line is really young (outside of Frasier) all the key players, both starters and rotaters, will be back. this will be a major strength for us both late this yr and next yr. plus any mistakes we make, can probably be covered by those LB's of ours.

N.C. State took last week off to prepare for this game. It's a huge game for them and their program.
I'm worried about it as well but I think the Marshall game may have been good for us to have played before this N.C. State game.
I'm sure the coaching staff was able to see potential problems and work them out before N.C. State.

Watch for them to try and pick on Fox's corner. The "D" line needs to get more pressure this week. State will still throw the ball a lot. Even without Rivers.
I'd like to see a lot of blitzes and a lot of different defenses to try and confuse the new State Qb.
