Ohio State Heavily In Mix For Miami PG [IMG]
    By Kyle Lamb
    Date: Aug 30, 2004

New OSU men's basketball coach Thad Matta has already made a very good impression on several recruits across the country. One of them is Miami Calusa Prep point guard Denis Clemente, who is rated as one of the nation's top players at his position. Remember the name because the Buckeyes have a very good chance with him, as Kyle Lamb reports.

The article goes on to say that we have a VERY good chance of landing Clemente. Both Denis and hsi coach think extremely highly of Matta. Apparently Matta thinks he can contribute as a true freshman if not start. Clemente can dribble the ball end-line to end-line in 3.2 seconds. Can you say "fun and gun"?

Great to hear Matta is working his tail off right now. Hopefully we land this guy. Sounds very solid.

    3.2 seconds?

is that even physically possible? how many dribbles is that?

  8. i can go the length in 4 dribbles , but no where near 3.2 seconds

A regulation basketball court is 94 feet long (i.e. 31.333 yds).

If he can do that in 3.2 seconds, then that's on pace to dribble a 40-yd dash in about 4.1 (assuming a constant pace).

Something tells me he might not be quite that fast.

Yeah, I forgot the Florida speed...:wink2:

However, if he catches the hurricane winds just right, he might be even faster than already reported!

(NOTE: Good luck to all the residents of Florida...especially Buckeyes.)

  12. its probably electric timed (a la it doesnt start till his foot leaves the pad giving him a free step)
