Petitte hasn't done anything and Reggie? Please. His best years were clearly behind him when he left NY. Wasn't that in the early 80's anyway?

Come on, Sloop. What super star, in their prime, has left the Yankees in the last 20 years? Name just one.

JC: "Come on, Sloop. What super star, in their prime, has left the Yankees in the last 20 years? Name just one."

JC, I named the two already. Pettite was 21-8 in his last year with the Yankees. He's just 31 years old. He's in his prime right now. He just got hurt this year.

And Reggie had 94 R, 41 HRs, 111 RBI, .300 AVG, .398 OBP, and a .597 SLG in his last full year with the Yanks. In his first year with Cali, he had 92 R, 39 HR, 101 RBI, and a .275 AVG. I don't know how you could say either of those years are the "twilight" of Jackson's career.

Nation: "i dont think hes fount one yet"

I haven't "fount" one yet?? How many haven't I "fount?" I never "fount" someone so pathetic to stay on my nuts this long. I never "fount" someone so in need of a hobby and a girlfriend as much as I "fount" the Nation. I never "fount" someone who needs to drop this so he stops getting his ass grilled (with no reply) as much as I "fount" the Nation. So, I guess I "fount" a lot of things.

So 27 is a White Sox fan huh!! Well that explains a helluva lot since they are the poor step-sister to a team that hasn't won a title since 1908!!

So tell me how many games has your star player Frank missed in the last few years! A heck of a lot more than Jeter that for sure...

27- Well seeing how it says NDCHIEF then maybe even you can figure out that I am a Kansas City Chief fan! DUHHH!

btw - I would suspect that even though we get into it at times I would never say I am a better person because chances are you are a pretty good guy so I wont go there...

As for the best team money can buy comment! If the Sox had ANY type of fan base they would have some cash! Seems like the only time they fill the place is when the Yanks or Cubs are there!

i was glad when they got garcia.....but then they stopped. they didnt just go buy a whole new team every year.

i would actually like to see a team make the playoffs without having to go buy players right before the deadline....but the yankees make that impossible.

Everybody dogs George but all he did/does is buy baseballs most storied franchise make it more profitable and use it's money to keep fans watching on his tv network and watch the Yankees in person! If you want to blame anyone blame the other owners for not being as aggressive...

Blame baseball for what ?? Letting an owner run a profitable winning team! GOD FORBID!! All George is doing is trying to win and spending his own money! It is not the Yankess fault that some of the other owners bought bad investments and can't fix them.....

SLEEP WITH JETER, PARK FREE

October 16, 2007 -- IF Bronx Bomber Derek Jeter wants to keep his sex life a secret, he should learn to tie up any post-tryst loose ends.

Our spy in the lobby of the Shore Club in Miami early Sunday morning spotted "two scantily clad women screaming at the front desk because they had spent the night at Jeter's penthouse and were then charged for parking."

"The girls were wearing what looked like the same clothes they wore the night before - a tight cocktail dress and a mini-skirt. They were making a huge scene because they were asked to pay for parking.

"Obviously, they'd spent the night there," giggled the onlooker, who noted that one of the overnight guests was screaming into the phone, "After last night, he'd better [bleep]ing take care of it!"

After a bit of insistence, "they eventually left happy. I assume he paid for their parking after all," said our snitch.

Tongues in Miami are wagging over Jeter's stint in Miami, where he was spotted Friday night dining at Nobu, then partying it up with Timbaland at Skybar. "They took over the table in the back and drank Grey Goose all night," said a fellow reveler. "Five girls were dancing around him, but he didn't seem interested."

Jeter was spotted acting equally detached later that night at Set, where he was "surrounded by throngs of women five rows deep. He was hanging with a guy friend, though, and didn't seem to take much interest in the hordes of ladies."

Evidently, the Yankee captain likes to keep his conquests behind closed doors, because there were no Jeter sightings Saturday night.

So Jeter didn't hook the skanks up

I know this is a hell of a thread revival, but I just saw this and figured I'd post it. I don't really care, but I just saw it on my home page.

:sick1: Jesus. You'd think he'd be a bit more discerning after waiting all this time to tie the knot. Someone get this girl a cheeseburger and a shake. I can see her cheek bones for god's sake!
