I love how aggressive he is when he has the ball in his hands. So many of the great ones at RB for Ohio State ran the same way: right at you, over you, and around you. Eddie, Beanie, Mo, Keith Byers, Pete Johnson... list goes on. His blend of size, speed, and talent is pretty special... especially at his young age. Excited about this kid.

The Virginia Connection is on.

That would be awesome. We've struggled in VA, I was shocked when we landed Grant.

Catching Up with Derrick Green

Just looks rightThis shirt fits Green perfectly (247 sports photo)

Just over a year ago a sophomore from Virginia was constantly in the ear of his all-world senior teammate, telling him he needed to go visit Ohio State. The two had a big brother-little brother type relationship so the "big brother", who at the time was more interested in schools like Florida, UNC, VT, UVA, Alabama, and LSU, listened. Pretty soon he visited Columbus, and just five months ago signed a national letter of intent with the Buckeyes over some of the nation's top football programs. Big brother? Curtis Grant. Little brother? Derrick Green.

Rivals$--Hermitage's Green a national target at RB

Derrick says he wouldn't call tOSU his 'favorite' but they are one of his top choices. UVA is recruiting him hard to stay in-state.

is this kid playing the recruiting game or what? He seemed like he was about to burst at the seams if OSU offered and then we do and we arent even the favorite? I know its a long way to signing day for him but it just seems weird to me. Maybe I am a little gun shy after the Dodson fiasco

Definitely not a game...the interview was done by a UVA site. So he was likely asked the epic Barksdale question.

DERRICK GREEN=FUTURE BUCKEYE

He probably wants to take advantage of some official visits so he can travel the country for free, and experience different cities and schools. Can you blame a kid fir that?

I hear ya but I have seen plenty of recruits on/off OSU's board with a named leader still take numerous visits. Just asking for some clarification as I am a big fan of this particular recruit.
