Besides being closer to home, what else does Clemson offer? ACC games a the ND upcoming headache. I didn't like seeing U$C because they will move a family if need be.

If Braxton Miller has a blow out year in 2013 like Urban says he is capable of, then that could change the recruiting picture, such as what happened at A&M.

Yeah, it is frustrating to wait on players that hold some other school higher. Maybe the 2013 season will reveal another quarterback (a la Big Ben)?

Probably the worst thin is recruiting a QB that doesn't work out.
  3. Out of all things, we are worried about QB recruiting...under Urban Meyer? Gimme a break. Like MD said, Urban will recruit the kid until he is told to stop. He's not going panic and take a lesser prospect when there are bigger fish in the sea.

If not Deshaun, it will be someone in the same talent bracket. We will not settle for QBs under Urban. That's for sure.

BN$--Ohio State Next In Line For Watson

Deshaun says he plans to enroll early and has tOSU right behind Clemson while also considering Auburn, Florida State, LSU, and Tennessee. He will definitely visit tOSU this spring and loves Coach Meyer.

Reminds me quite a bit of Alex Smith when he was at Utah. Not overly fast but can make guys miss and is very slippery, plus he runs pretty physically (will need to ease up on that at the next level). Tremendouse accuracy and I love how long the film get an idea of how very accurate Watson is and that he can make all the throws. He also has a good feel for when to zip the ball in and when to put touch on it. Throws a beautiful ball and keeps his eyes downfield while moving in the pocket. Really accurate while rolling out too, which is a fairly rare trait.

Needs to tighten up his delivery a bit, especially on deeper throws...ball needs to get there faster at the next level on many of his throws on film. Love his realease point though, makes him seem like a 6'6 QB throwing the ball (already has great size). Pretty easy to see why DeShaun is our top QB target. As much as I love Barker, I think DeShaun is a perfect fit here for Urban and is a borderline 5 star talent. Great blend of athleticism and throwing ability and his passing skills are pretty well developed at this stage. Get him in with Herman and UFM and he could be phenomenal here.

Kind of reminds me of jameis winston from last year. Would look great in our offense
  10. Kid is just so methodical and accurate with his throws that it looks like watching a passing drill. Leads his receivers with the throw and already does the check down to the third option. Different feel from watching Pryor's film where he just runs from one side to the field to the other and throws a 50 yd bomb or Braxton's where he puts on the same moves that he does now. Boyd is gone after next year, so if Morris takes the smart money then Urban might be tough to beat.

    A little critique

Uses his body strength to break tackles and gain extra yards will work most of the time but not against bigger teams.
Composed and patient, but he has a good OL giving him lots of time.
Somehwat accurate but the choice of the placement of the ball slows down his receivers but he does put the ball at a safe spot from interceptions.
Good vision when running but not very elusive nor very fast. Will pick you some tough yards, but wont against faster and bigger teams.
Big and tall. idea, but guessing he s got it.

Awesome, a scenario that brings Watson here to Fort Meyer.

    Rivals $ - Watson reacts

Not upset about Clemson looking at a QB for 2013 because they told him a week ago...continue to have a great relationship with Coach Morris...says if he were to leave he would turn his attention to Ohio State and Auburn...also looking at Oregon, Tennessee and Cal.

Buckeye86 I do not choose to discuss it

I might be crazy, but I'm pretty sure I saw Watson standing behind Matt Ryan (over his right shoulder, camera left) before kickoff of this playoff game.
