DeShaun Watson (QB Cleveland Browns)

So he’s got 21 that have accused him of innapropriate behavior/assualt and now his lawyers find 18 other therapists that say he was fine to work with.

So he’s gotten massages from 40 different women?? That’s sketchy as hell as a professional athlete of his stature. You would think he would have a single trainer and message therapist that knows his needs. If you’re reaching out to 40+, you’re looking for more than fixing muscle aches.

Does is mean he sexually assaulted them? No clue. But I don’t think he’s running through a list of massage girls in every city to keep his body healthy. Guessing some form of his name/money/power came up in a lot of cases.

Depends on which “muscle” aches?

Obvious question, why “so many” different massage therapists?
I will never understand why multi-multi-millionaire pro athletes put themselves into a position like that. If he's not guilty, why open yourself up to this stuff? If he is guilty, wtf? You can't find an attractive "morally flexible" female that you don't have to force yourself on?

If he's guilty, it isn't about the sex. It's about power.

I think its a power thing like @Buckeyeskickbuttocks said, but also, elite athletes(and this also goes with politicians, musicians, actors, people who are famous in general) are hardly ever told no. And that especially goes for the opposite sex! ... This whole situation is crazy, and lets fans further know that we don't know these athletes/stars just because they make appearances and you see their IG/FB posts.

Guilty or not he's now starting to lose endorsement money:

Nike suspends Deshaun Watson sponsorship; Beats by Dre ends deal, sources say

Nike has suspended its endorsement deal with Deshaun Watson, and sources told ESPN that Beats by Dre is ending its sponsorship of Watson amid the sexual assault and inappropriate behavior allegations against the Houston Texans quarterback.

"We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and have suspended Deshaun Watson. We will continue to closely monitor the situation," Nike said in a statement Wednesday.

"People say that I’m doing this just for money," Solis said. "That is false. I come forward now so that Deshaun Watson does not assault another woman."

Rusty Hardin, the lawyer representing Deshaun Watson in the slew of sexual misconduct lawsuits against the Houston Texans quarterback, revealed on Tuesday that the first accuser to come forward against her client initially asked for $100,000 prior to filing suit. Ashley Solis came forward Tuesday and revealed her identity, detailing her terrifying massage therapy session with Watson at her home in March 2020.

If Ashley Solis' (aka Jane Doe #1) lawsuit isn't about the money, what does she ask for all kinds of damages, see paragraph VII?

If it isn't about the money then why doesn't she come out and pledge that any and all damages received via the lawsuit will be given to designated "abused women charities"?

Judge orders woman suing Deshaun Watson to disclose name

At an emergency hearing Friday morning, a Harris County judge ruled that one of the plaintiffs suing Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson must identify herself by refiling her lawsuit with her name attached.

The original lawsuit, filed by Houston attorney Tony Buzbee, was filed on behalf of Jane Doe. Of the 22 lawsuits filed against Watson alleging sexual assault and inappropriate conduct, only two women had been publicly identified.

The ruling was made by Judge Dedra Davis in the 270th District Court. A similar hearing regarding at least 12 other cases is set for noon ET Friday in the 113th District Court, according to court records.

Watson's attorney, Rusty Hardin, filed the emergency motion Thursday, saying, "Mr. Buzbee's use of anonymous lawsuits violates Texas law and the basic concept of fairness."

"While I understand that anonymity often is used as a shield for victims, Mr. Buzbee is using it as a sword," Hardin said in a statement. "While shielding his clients from public scrutiny, Mr. Buzbee continues to use their anonymous allegations to destroy Mr. Watson. This is simply not right. And we look forward to resolving these matters in court."

Update: April 9

At an emergency hearing in the morning, a Harris County judge ruled that one of the plaintiffs who filed a lawsuit against Watson must identify herself by refiling her lawsuit with her name attached.

Later that day, during a second hearing held in the 113th District Court, Buzbee and Hardin agreed that nine of 12 women would publicly reveal their names by April 14 after they told Buzbee they would do so voluntarily. Judge Rabeea Sultan Collier granted Hardin's emergency motion requiring the release of the names of the other three women.
