Detroit Red Wings (Official Thread)

I believe that is the inevitable at this point. The streak had to end at some eventually & this team certainly isn't playing like one that deserves to be in the Playoffs at the moment.

Shutout. At the Joe. Against the Leafs.
Sunday just about sums it all up.
This was an ugly game...the Leafs who have one of the worst PPs in the league peppered the Wings while they were on the PP, while the Wings did absolutely nothing when they had a man advantage. They just skated around and rarely if ever shot the puck. Then the breakaway right at the end of the PP that they scored on was just uggggggglllllllyyyyyy

The Leafs threw in the towel months ago & Babcock is now fielding a team of children. Literally their current team is the dead weight left on the roster & numerous young kids in the system. There's no excuse to not only get shutout by that team, but to not even show up either.

as predicted (sorta), with Philly's win last night, the toothless dead things are now out of a playoff spot, and both Philly and Shitsburgh have a game in hand on the Dead Things...

stick a fork in them, they're done. And once they lose to Columbus (again) tonight, I think they should fire everyone in the Front Office and coaching staff and let the Grand Rapids guys finish the season. It won't happen, but it's what is needed.

Boston with the all-time collapse. Seven points out of their final 12 games & getting obliterated 6-1 at home in the pivotal game of the season =

Dominating performance in Game 3. We'll see if that high-energy carries over to Game 4, but they're definitely not giving up against a better team.

Nope that was nice to see...Abby needs to take that fight with Boyle though....Boyle is a big doofus with a glass jaw...
But Brian Boyle is also a massive human being. Cleary learned that the hard way with Pronger.

True, but Abby is a better fighter than Cleary ever thought about being....and Pronger would put Boyle in the hospital too
All true statements. They mentioned Abby may have wrecked his hand beating that guy's ass in Game 2, which might have affected his decision to not test Goliath.
