Devon Allen (WR Oregon / USA Track and Field)

I said this in my prediction for this class, but I would not be surprised to see Allen commit shortly after if he visited for FNL. Very low key with his recruitment, dad went to OSU, the event will be absolutely huge, and our current commits will be working hard to get him here. I would not be surprised to see Devon just want to get his recruitment over with and focus on his senior year of football and track. Jmo though.

Scout$--Allen Enjoys FNL

Devon loved FNL and campus. He set up his official visit for The Game and has tOSU as a definite in his soon-to-be-decided top five.

How can you say no to Ohio State after seeing The Game from the sidelines?! Instant commit after The Game if he isn't already committed to the Bucks by then.

If his spot is still there by then.

That's a ways down the road for sure, and it's highly unlikely that he still hasn't committed by then. I was just saying if he were to draw his recruitment out this entire 2012 season, it'd be hard for him not to immediately commit after The Game.

OSU, Notre Dame, U-M impress Allen
July, 30, 2012
By Brad Bournival | ESPN.com

Forgive Devon Allen (Phoenix, Ariz./Brophy) for being a little exhausted Monday after a weekend that included a visit to Ohio State?s Friday Night Lights, a look at Notre Dame on Saturday and concluded with Michigan?s Big House BBQ on Sunday.

While the 6-foot, 187-pound wide receiver in the class of 2013 hasn?t formulated a top-10 just yet ? he plans on doing that very soon ? Allen said it is likely all three would be on his list.

Midwest visit ends with BBQ for Allen
July, 31, 2012
By Tom VanHaaren | ESPN.com

As the last stop on his Midwest visit, 2013 wide receiver Devon Allen (Phoenix/Brophy Prep) made it to Ann Arbor for the BBQ at the Big House after stopping by Ohio State and Notre Dame. Coming from the Grand Canyon state, Allen's biggest concern with the Midwest schools was whether he would need to wear a jacket year-round.

"It definitely helped [Michigan]. The big thing for me was the weather, and I know it's summer but it was kind of hot so that was good," he said. "Some of the coaches said it didn't even snow that much this winter compared to how it usually does, so I liked that.

Other than the weather, Allen felt as though the visit gave him a good perspective on what Michigan has to offer. His father, Louis, attended Ohio State so the family has ties to the Buckeyes. Allen spent some time with current Michigan commit Jake Butt (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North), who also has ties to Ohio State.

"[Butt is] from Columbus, right down the street from Ohio State. He told me that when he was younger he would never go to Michigan," Allen said. "But it felt like the right place for him. The family atmosphere and the football is top tier. He said he chose it on how he felt and told me to really look at all the schools closely."

WR Devon Allen is setting visits
August, 23, 2012
By Erik McKinney | ESPN.com

Wide receiver Devon Allen (Phoenix/Brophy Prep) released a top-15 list in early July, but that group is beginning to narrow as the 6-foot, 187-pound speedster focuses on fall visits and finalists.

Allen did plenty of traveling and research this summer as he visited several Pac-12 and Big Ten campuses. But his first official visit will be to an SEC program, as Arkansas will host Allen on Sept. 14. It is the only trip Allen has firmly scheduled, but official visits to Notre Dame on Sept. 21 and Texas on Oct. 5 are also possibilities. With so many programs in the mix, Allen will eventually settle on five official visits, but that likely won?t be the end of his travels before signing day, as several unofficial visits could take place as well.

?I would like to visit Washington, UCLA and Ohio State hopefully as well,? he said. ?I?ve been to Ohio State and Notre Dame already, so I?m not sure which one I?ll go visit again. I?ll have to decide. Notre Dame is showing me a lot of interest.?

Noticed he's cooled off on tTUN...that's good. I would be lying if some of this above didn't worry me a bit. Glad to hear he may be visiting OSU again...good stuff.:oh: The ND stuff will cool...after Kelly pulls another blow up on his new freshman QB or others...it's inevitable.
