I saw a blurb on Fox News or CNN which showed ther amount that different countries have pledged to the Tsunami-ravaged countries.

It listed all the countries and amounts, like Germany 6 Million. Every country pledged at least 1 million or more. The only country that didn't: France. They pledged $135,000. What a friggin joke. Even the hosts were mocking the pledge, by saying it was probably wine that they were pledging.

    Did anyone else see this?

Clar - just say you have Canadian in your blood, not French. That's what I do. Of course, having any french roots means you can comment freely about them.

Indonesia has the largest Muslim population of any country in the world. The fact they suffered over 80,000 fatalities makes which countries give how much aid, and who receives that aid, a very interesting political issue.

We giving 350 and Japan is giving 500. It looks like a contest but lets hope it continues...these people need as much as they can get.

Amazon is at $11.7 million. That's just US donations, btw. As has their own count (around $150k last I checked).

It is utterly amazing to me that even though the US is there to help other countries whenever it is needed, we are still hated by so many.

When we have disasters, does anyone help us?
Yet, we are called stingy even though we offer more than anyone else.

What nation is called first when someone needs help?
Answer, the same nation everyone loves to hate...[IMG]
