TOP MATCHUPS
NOVEMBER 13

Last week was another good old 3-1 performance for the third week in a row. Damn the domers. DiHard was also 3-1 against the spread and picked a dog to win straight up and the Buckeyes came through.
There is really only one great game this week, but the battle for the big least title has some appeal as does one ACC matchup. Has anyone noticed that the two most northern teams in the ACC are currently 1-2 in the conference? I found this interesting.

Game of the Week: Georgia @ Auburn
Spread:
Auburn –5 1/2
The Game: The best two teams in the SEC square off in Auburn, Alabama in what promises to be one of the best football games of the year. Thank god CBS is broadcasting this one so I can see it. Both teams generate a little over 400 yds of offense per game (yes buckeye fans it is possible) and both teams hold the opposition to around 250 yards per game. This one should be an epic. Did I mention a berth in the Orange Bowl might be on the line?
My Prediction: Georgia by 2
Why: David and David (anyone remember that band) are going to make Auburn their personal boomtown. David Greene plays like the senior leader he is and David Pollack gives the Tigers offense problems all day long. Also, the fact that both Georgia running backs are healthy is a major factor. It wont be easy though.
Would I bet on this game: Yes, Georgia is peaking at the right time.

Game 2: Boston College @ West Virginia
Spread:
West Virginia -7
The Game: In many other weeks this game would go into the who cares category, but somebody from this conference is going to play in a BCS bowl game. In fact, the Neers can be the first team to earn their 2004/2005 BCS spot with a win on Saturday. What a travesty.
My Prediction: West Virginia by 1
Why: Well I haven’t really watched enough of this horrific excuse for a BCS league to feel confident in this game, but the home crowd and the fact that BC lost to Pitt for cryin out loud. Look for a low scoring game and West Virginia making BCS plans.
Would I bet on this game: No, nobody in this league deserves my money.

Game 3: FLORIDA STATE @ NC STATE
Spread:
FSU -7
The Game: FSU desperately needs a win here to keep any hopes of a conference championship and BCS bowl berth alive. Meanwhile, the Wolfpack needs to stop their slide as they have lost three of their last four games.
My Prediction: Seminoles by 6
Why: The chest and his team, led by phil rivers, came out and beat FSU the first two times they met. Last year the game went to OT and the Seminoles pulled out a win…I think they build on that to win in Raleigh and hope the two Virginia teams lose down the stretch.
Would I bet on this game: Nope, you never know if Bhobby is going to play Rix or not.

Game 4: OHIO STATE @ PURDONT
Spread:
PU -4
The Game: On one hand Purdue is 14 points shy of a perfect season…on the other hand they have lost their last four games by a total of 14 points. My question is will Kyle Orton play or will he not. The Buckeyes have won three straight and have their eyes set on a New Year’s Day bowl with one or two more victories.
My Prediction: If Orton plays…Purdue by 3. Without Orton….tOSU by 3.
Why: With Kyle Orton playing the Boilermakers are due to win a close one and what better way to finish out your career than with a close win over the Buckeyes. (I know Purdue plays Indiana next week, but this is the last big game). Without Orton this game will be eerily similar to the last three Buckeye games. Get the early lead and hang on.
Would I bet on this game: I’m not betting on the Buckeyes for awhile.
Season Record Straight Up: 31-13
Season Record v. the spread: 23-21

DiHard, I suggest you send Clarity a PM to discuss your concerns. The Blog system isn't the place for this. This is Clarity's house (site) and image you are talking about. I know your intent isn't ro bash BP specifically, but that's the way it comes across.
