Direct TV w/ TiVo recording

I am wondering if anybody can help me here.
I have Direct TV with TiVo and almost all of the games saved on it. I want to transfer them from the hard drive to DVD and I can't get it hooked up correctly to do so. I have the Samsung TiVo system and a cheap DVD player/recorder that I figured that I would start with to see if I liked it or not. If I am correct I should hook up my TiVo to the DVR and then to the TV. When ever I try to record a show or anything I get nothing from it. If someone can help me with how to connect this all up I would greatly apperciate it. I think that I am going to have to us some sort of RF modulator since I nnly have 1 set of outlets from my TV and just co-ax hook ups and nothing else. Please someone help. I tried googling it and just got lost in the directions. Thanks so much

I tried to explain this to someone a while back, cant remember who it was. Turned out his tivo box was messed up and the video outs didnt work.

Basically you'd want to run s-video or composite cables from your tivo outputs to your dvd/recorder inputs. Play something on the tivo, then switch inputs on your dvd remote until you get a picture on the screen. (keep in mind you'll want to be watching the dvd input as far as your tv is concerned). Sounds like you have the right idea though in your explaination, maybe you're just using the wrong input on the dvd recorder?

I'm about to finish my basement and just purchased all of my new equipment last weekend. Powering my new 50" Wega HD will be the DirecTV HD DVR and Panasonic DVD recorder/VHS combo. I'm running s-video from the DVR to the DVD recorder and then component betweem the DVD recorder and TV.

Anyone have any experience with the DVD recorder/VHS combos? I love the fact that I'm eliminating a piece of equipment with the combo. I'm also going to be able to transfer the last four football seasons that I have on VHS on DVD. The partiuclar model I bought says there is a self correction mechanism in it that will acutally improve the quality of video by transferring it to DVD.

Your best bet for high quality DVD's is to download the games through bit torrent (Full Game Download thread) Why redo the work that others have done? I don't know what Tivo settings you use, but the downloads that are up are much better than anything my Tivo can do.
