(CNN) -- A Walt Disney World employee dressed as the character Tigger at the Orlando, Florida, theme park was arrested Friday on charges of molesting a minor and committing battery against her mother while the three posed for a photo, according to a police affidavit.
Michael Chartrand, 36, was booked on $2,500 bond, according to a spokesman for the Orange County Jail.

Chartrand is accused of fondling the breasts of a woman and her 13-year-old daughter as he stood between them posing for a picture at Walt Disney World's Toontown February 21, according to an affidavit.

Neither reacted at the time, but the girl later told her parents she had been fondled, and eight days later the family filed a report with the Orange County Sheriff.

During an interview with police, Chartrand said he may have inadvertently touched the girl's breast, and added that he suffers from dyslexia, which impaired his memory.

According to a spokeswoman for Disney, Chartrand has been suspended without pay pending an investigation.
 
how does it take several weeks to realize you both were fondled....if someone so much as touches my croch....im kicking their ass right there and then....

then again...disney has quite a bit of money to their name....you guess the rest....

<sarcasm>You're not having enough empathy for the victims...the emotional trauma of being fondled...it's something that takes a long time to come to grips with...it's a very personal reaction...you lack compassion.</sarcasm>

There's somethng fishy going on here. Having once had the experience of wearing the Tigger costume at Disney in a management program, it would be extremely difficult for Tigger to fondle anyone with the gloves of that costume. It has like two inches of padding all around the hand. You literally cannot feel anything with the gloves on. Add to this the fact that Disney is a deep pocket target and voila! instant lawsuit. I don't see how these two are: 1) going to prove that Tigger actually fondled them; or 2) Tigger intended to fondle them. Anyway, this has to get decided in court.

This guy who played Tigger is more likely the victim then the two accusers because his picture has been pasted all over the world - in and out of the Tigger costume.

It didn't help that he fled police by bouncing away on his tail. He was eventually caught hiding at his girlfriend Kanga's mobile home outside of Taos, where the two lived with their illigitimate child Roo. Police became suspicious while investigating an explosion at a nearby meth lab. Eyore is being questioned in that unrelated incident.

24 Complaints Made Against Disney World 'Tigger'

ORLANDO, Fla. — Authorities have received 24 more complaints in the week since a Walt Disney World (search) employee was charged with molesting a 13-year-old girl and her mother while dressed as the character "Tigger." (search)



Thirteen of the cases have been deemed credible enough to be investigated, while the others are being reviewed, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.

Michael Chartrand (search), 36, was arrested April 2 and charged with one count of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child between 12 and 15 and one count of simple battery. He was booked at the Orange County Jail on a $2,500 bond.

In that case the sheriff's office received a complaint that the costumed character had touched the girl and her mother inappropriately while their pictures were being taken Feb. 21.

According to an incident report, Chartrand fondled the breasts of the girl and the mother while posing for pictures at the Magic Kingdom's Toon Town.

The new reports make similar allegations. Erin Rivera, 21, said the Tigger character touched her breast while hugging her.

"I don't think it was a mistake," she said. "Everybody who goes through my photo album says, 'Tigger is groping you."'

Chartrand has been suspended without pay. Disney declined to comment on the latest allegations.

"It appears we have 24 folks that feel there may have been something inappropriate and that something happened to them," sheriff's spokesman Jim Solomons said. "It appears all of our complaints are focusing on Tigger."
