Today on our website forum we got a post from a writer at the dispatch that wants info and stories on why people hate Karen Holbrook and what is going wrong with OSU tailgating. People who have been to our site always ask me how we can be heard. We'll here is our chance. Please take a few moments and write this person what you have experienced with tailgating this year. I'm sure they would love to hear about some old alum that got a ticket for something they have been doing for 30+ years. The email for the dispatch writer is [email protected] and the link the thread is

If you have time I would love to see what you guys write to this person so could you please post copies of the emails here or on our forums? Please be smart about this. We could get a very well written story out of this and hopefully make a difference.

I don't understand you guys. You all bitch and complain about this woman and how she is ruining so many of your good times but nobody wants to be heard? This is a way for the rest of columbus to find out what is going on at the OSU tailgate. I know I am setting myself up for flames but I mean c'mon.

I think it would be very difficult for me right now to help a journalist rip on any aspect of tOSU. Maybe before the ESPN stuff I could see people jumping a little harder on this opportunity, but there comes a point where you have to circle the wagons and lock out the outsiders. The media are the outsiders. Someone could argue the whole "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" deal, and there might be some merit to that, but Holbrook seems like a headache that can wait compared to the other issues swirling about right now.

I'll ditto this.

Good point Clarity and I some what agree. I'm sure this writer just wanted to write this article before the Michigan game since there is no more tailgating after that and the story wouldn't be as relevant.

Suggest they write something about fan pride in the program, and how we're all behind the university as we have to endure a second round of NCAA high inquisition to humor a bitter child. Or about how the Ohio State/Michigan game is in many ways representative of everything that makes college football great.

I will mention that in my email to the writer. I think the point of the article was going be be how tailgating has changed at OSU and compare it to other big ten schools. Not really a total bash on the University, and in no way a bash on the football program. So many people are pissed that they are getting tickets for something they have been doing for years. I believe this writer just wanted to expose that.
