According to BK at Bucknuts Michael Bennett has narrowed his list down to 2 schools. Sounds good for the good guys. He sounds like a great kid, and would be an awesome addition to the Bucks.

Bennett Narrows Field To Two

:oh:

Down to OSU and Northwestern...eliminated all schools recruiting him for offense...did not make the OSU spring game.

Most impressive interior d-lineman OSU has recruited in at least 10 years... I've NEVER seen a kid with that type of acceleration shed blocks so well/take such good pursuit angles/play with such determination/hit so hard. Very exciting prospect...

Can you really make that statement given that Bennett has said he only played a handful of snaps on the Dline last season?

Seriously, who has better HS film.... Michael Bennett or Sharrif Floyd?

Bennett and it is not even close.

Floyd has a good first step for a 310 pound DT. He is a wide body who did a great job slipping through holes and stuffing RBs a couple yards in the backfield. The knock on him was for a guy so big, he didn't barrel through high school OLmen on a regular basis the way elite big guys tend to do. If you watch his film you'll see him swivel his hips and try to sneak by guards more often than you will see him try to power move through them. Think finesse 5-tech/4i-tech lineman in a 1-tech's body. --- A great prospect who could be an all-american if paired with the right d-linemates.

Bennett has a good first step for a 230 pound MLB... and he's a 280 pound DT... He's compact, strong and explosive... Beyond aggressive at the point of attack... I'll put it this way... if there was a national push-people-to-the-ground-as-fast-as-you-can contest, he would be my front runner(honorable mention for the national head-dislocation and shoulder-bruising contests respectively as well...) Obviously, the question regarding, "just how good is this player" comes down to the level of competition. The fact that he's dropping 200-270 pound kids like they are rag dolls suggests that at the minimum, he has the potential to be a very solid college 5-technique DL. More realistically, I think he could an amazing 2-tech DT who commands double teams on every play... and hurts both guys while doing it. --- A phenomenal prospect with the potential to be an all-american/award winner, regardless of whether his partner DT is John Hankins, Chase Farris or the frozen corpse of Walt Disney...

I already did and I stand by it. I'm not trying to blow smoke. I've been around these boards for years and only post when something really catches my attention. Take it how you may and we'll see how it holds up in a few years...

Wow that's such a bold statement! This kid is pretty good, but I don't even think he's better than McReynolds or even Floyd last year. But your opinion is your opinion. In the end I hope we get this kid in S&G and I would love for you to prove me wrong, because I just don't see this kid being the game-changer u mention. But I hope I'm wrong
