Yeah, you're right. Forgot about that. Still, I think Urban has had success in NJ before Schiano arrived, and he doesn't need assistants to open doors for him. He kicks down doors wherever he goes

Urban has had a few kids NJ while at UF, Will Hill is the most prominent. But when I looked it up, he also had a 4star DE, Justin Trattou in 2007 and a 3star S in 2009. It doesn't seem like a lot, but when you're in Florida and able to cherry pick kids all the way from NJ (all from the top Catholic, like they are now) it says a lot

If there is any hesitation I believe it’s less about Schiano and more about immediate playing time. I think Dre’Mont returning negates a lot of PT Friday may have been bought he could get as a Freshman as a SSDE and occasional 3 tech.

We rotate so much it shouldn’t matter. He will play year 1.

Ok then. Provided he’s good enough and doesn’t hit the freshman wall. We’ve heard that he’ll play from year one rhetoric far too often to believe it. You have to be special at Ohio State to play in the first year. Mr Friday might be special but it remains to be seen.

I was really just considering we only have 3 DEs on the roster. Means 1 of the freshman DE should get a lot of PT and 2-3 should get trash PT.

Hope this still goes our way but not really worried at this point. And Urban has been pretty good in NJ overall. Having Schiano and LJ Sr. have enhanced that I think. Before UFM got here, getting a premiere commit from that state was borderline impossible.
