Fuck Don King. He is the biggest self-serving two-faced piece of shit to ever "grace" the boxing world. If any black man on the planet deserves to be called a nigger, it's him (my apologies to our black BP members for the use of that word, but King deserves it).

(Well- taking only the first sentence of Mili's quote... )

Seems like old Crazy hair and ESPN deserve each other.

I hope each side expends millions in litigation.

Am I the only that had a problem with Mili using the "N" word there?

I guarantee any other poster would have about 50 Warning points for that by now.

Kind of surprised he hasn't edited it yet but I guess that's Mili.

One thing you have to give him is that he speaks his mind.

As soon as you show me which rule he broke, I will gladly warn him. This is not the recruiting forum where we have a number of rules. This is Open Discussion...each person is responsible for their own words.

Many people don't like the F bombs dropped all over the place...yet we don't edit or warn because of those unless they happen in the recruiting forum.

At school, I use the language filter...the word didn't even show up for me. If people have an issue, they can take it up with Mili here or in PMs or simply turn on the language or ignore feature.

grad,

It's not that I have a problem with that showing up and me being afraid of someone seeing it on my computer but you are saying that is acceptable? B/c if so, you just opened up a big can of worms.

I'm sure if someone like donnyjr or goodguy would have used that word, then they would have had a major problem but maybe I'm wrong.

Does that mean that if someone wants to use derogatory terms for Jews, Mexicans, Arabs, etc.. then it's OK?

I made sure not to voice my opinion in my response....

All I am saying is that there are no "rules" regarding this...

It all goes back to what this site was founded on...being responsible for your own words

The only way anyone would get a warning for that is if they did it on the recruiting forum...

Mili did not break a rule that is written...my personal opinion or anyone else's does not matter. In the end, Mili is the only person responsible for his words.

Don King isn't worth $2.50 let alone 2.5 billion... with that said I hope it stays in court forever and saps both Don and eSPIN for every dollar they have...

My guess is they will pay him a few million, settle out of court, admit no wrongdoing and both parties will be happy...

Arabs have been getting slammed here almost since the site opened.

OK, let's get this shit out in the open. Out of all the people who've read this thread, three have dinged me and none are black (and one is Rashmish, who simply used it as excuse for a ding...he's called me "white trash" in his dings to me before, so his calling me a "racist shit" in one is laughable).

Just to let you all know, I lived in a Girard neighborhood with a high population of blacks while I was a young kid from 1962-1969, during the civil rights period. I went to school with black kids, played with black kids, hung out with black kids, and my best friend was black. How good of a friend was he? I remember to this day his asking me, "Why do white people get sun tans?" An honest question from a 10-year-old black kid to his white friend. Was I offended? No way. Despite our difference in skin pigmentation, I knew exactly why he asked it. I could relate to it. Yet today, the PC police would consider it in bad taste.

I PM'd one of the two white members who dinged me about my post and told him what I just told you all. His reply was, "Just b/c you lived in a neighborhood with black people doesn't give you the right to say it." Well, actually it does. So, it's OK for blacks today to use it and not for whites? See, that's what I hate about PC bullshit...they have America convinced (especially white America) that the word is so vile and conveys so much hate in itself (when it actually doesn't) and that it is many times worse than even the word "Fuck" that no one (at least no white people) should even be allowed to say it. It's funny that I can call tibor a raghead, we all rag on the entire French nation, we can call fans from West Virginia white trash and hillbillies, and members can post "Fuck Arabs" and get a laugh, but if I use "The N-Word", people shit their pants full. Folks need to get a grip...it's just a damned word.

Is it an offensive word? Hell, yes...it's meant to be. Is it a degrading word? Again, hell yes. Does its offensive, degrading connotation apply to Don King? No doubt.

Typical garbage from a racist person..I have black friends, so I can't be racist. Uh, sure...

Mili,

Just b/c you lived in a black neighborhood is a freaking lame excuse. I teach black students, does that make it ok? HELL NO!!!

Like I told you privately I yell at black students who say it to each other at school.

I'm sure no Jewish person on here would like to see someone called a "Heeb" or "Kike."

Would the excuse that I grew up in a Jewish neighborhood make that OK? I don't think so.
