  • this could save your fanny some day... there are two main types of drug testing being used in the pre and post employment environments...

    Urine testing... catches most drugs... specifically adepth at any drug taken from the time just before the test to five days back... THC stays in system up to one month... LSD leaves system in less than a day... rumors exist that test is 'beatable' .. sample must match your body temperature... sample must not have excess water or retest will be performed...

    Hair testing... catches all drugs... specifically adepth at any drug taken 5 days ago through 90 days ago... utilizes 1.5 inches of hair (about 100 strands) taken closest to scalp... hair grows at 1/2 inch per month.. so 3 months worth of 'data' ... is not beatable... shaved heads are no problem, they will use body hair... body hair reveals all usage for the past year... cannot pick up any drug taken 3-4 days prior to test... not in hair yet... has perfect ability to distingusih between THC use and second hand exposure..

    Saliva testing can detect usage from immediate to a few days...

    Hair testing has the ability to detect nicotine... but it is too expensive at this time... and no one uses it... It will be coming in the future for firms making it part of their policy and insurance company applications..

    I was one of the random drug tested each year by my old company.
    I am pretty sure it was not so random, they were looking for clean guys for insurance savings.

    I dated a stripper that had to have her hair tested after a DUI.

    My last two drug tests have both been hair testing. It really sucks because they take a huge hunk out the back of your head that takes months to grow back! I've got long enough hair to cover it now...but I was letting my hair grow out, so now I'll have to get it cut once the sample area gets long enough and I'll start over again.

    Stupid drug testing.
