WHAT NFL TEAMS ARE SAYING ABOUT OHIO STATE'S NON-FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICKS FOLLOWING MINICAMP

Last week, we took a trip around the NFL circuit to see what teams were saying about Ohio State's five first-round draft picks following the conclusion of league minicamps. The results, as expected, were fairly positive as each player figures to make an impact as a rookie.

But, as you're well-aware, the 2016 NFL Draft was a historic night for the Buckeyes as they had seven additional players selected after the first round. There's a strong chance some of those picks are high-impact rookies, as well.

Here are some things NFL teams are saying about the former Ohio State players they recently selected in the NFL Draft:

ADOLPHUS WASHINGTON — BUFFALO BILLS DEFENSIVE TACKLE

"Shaq Lawson is going to walk in off the bus starting," Whaley said, via NFL.com. "Reggie Ragland and then Adolphus Washington — all three of those guys will start right off the bus. And we're excited for some guys from the fourth through sixth rounds that will contribute for us."

Adolphus is listed as a DT starter and will be even more important with all the injuries on defense and now the Marcell Dareus suspension (so stupid!)

Washington said his experience in Ohio State's elite program is the main reason for his quick adjustment. He said one of university head coach Urban Meyer's main goals is to get as many players to the NFL as he can, and he prepares his players well for the next level.

As for Washington's current head coach, Rex Ryan said Washington has learned a lot from Dareus and Kyle Williams so far in camp.

"He’s buying in to how we play defense and he’s doing a nice job for us," said Ryan.

Arrested on weapons charges

Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Adolphus Washington was arrested on weapons charges this weekend at a water park near Cincinnati.

The 24-year-old was arrested at Splash Cincinnati Indoor Water Park in the suburb of Sharonville, Ohio, at about 10 p.m. on Sunday, per ABC News affiliate WKBW Buffalo. Police were clearing out a crowd in the parking lot when Washington “reached for and displayed a gun while sitting inside his vehicle, just feet away from officers” without informing police beforehand, according to the report obtained by WKBW. He was arrested and has since been released.
