DT Doug Worthington (Official Thread)

Thanks, 86. Doug would be a great addition to this class.

BTW, I saw his videos recently - pretty impressive. Just one thing - he is awfully tall and on the thin side; with another 30 pounds, he would be the spitting image of Alonzo Spellman. If he can't put on that kind of weight, do you see him as being a Rickey Dudley type TE someday?

Worthington

Anymore news outta this kid?! I know the last time I checked he had OSU as his favorite and Penn State behind him. With his dad wanting him to attend OSU I think we have a great chance. I know alot of you might think differently on this but I'd rather have Worthington than Melvin Alaeze. The reason I say this is Worthington still has plenty of room to grow were as Melvin is only 6'3 so I don't think Melvin will have much room to grow. With Worthingtons speed god be with who ever faces him if he actually reached into the 280's and still ran somewhere in his posted 4.6-4.7 range, he would be a bigger Will Smith IMO. Also you have to figure his Reach at 6'6" would give him alot more seperation? What do you guys think?</FONT>

another thing don't get me wrong I'd be very very happy with either! Just think maybe worthington has more potential! GO BUCKS.

Don't forget

very true I would settle for both! haha that'd be a Defensive front in 2-3 years wouldn't it? haha I agree that I too would just LOVE to have Melvin Alaeze I see he is faster than worthington I just prefer the taller defensive ends because they can bat balls down easier and also have a reach advantage, but none the less Melvin is an amazing athlete as is worthington! any of the two would probably strive at Ohio State! but we are forgetting about Gholston remember. He too is probably going to be playing at around 260 his RD freshman year and he's faster than both those kids with a 4.5 . I'm looking forward to him tagged with Frost in the years to come.

You gotta give them credit. Even though NY HS football is traditionally on the weak side, they scheduled two traditional powerhouses in OH plus Erie McDowell, which is Kyle Mitchum's old school.

Any word on DE, Doug Worthington?

I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything on Doug Worthington. He is listed as 6-7/257/4.70 40. And any pics of this outstanding specimen.
