DT Doug Worthington (Official Thread)

I'd love to see a picture of this kid, but I don't think they exist.

Love to get him, too. He's my number one target right now.. I like the size and height coming off the edge. Could be a great one. Plus, anyone who shares a last name with the town I grew up in gets props.

Nothing really new to report on Worthington. He did say Ohio State was a "lock" to get an official visit. He wants to go to a school where the coach will be there all 4 years, a place he can get a good education and he wants to win a National Championship.

not sure who to equate this fella to... but he's already 4 inches taller than Smith, Peterson and Anderson... and he looks thin.. so his 260 can easily get to 300+... and he should be a beast...

can you imagine practice with him and Boone going against each other.. the entire left side of the world would just disappear from a QBs sight

Here's another article on Worthington:

Tennessee Insiders on Doug Worthington (8/27/04)

In this article, he lists his top 6 as Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Maryland, and Pitt. He claims that his father wants him to go south (well, Columbus is south of Buffalo), and that his mother likes Penn State.

FWIW, Doug's father (Doug, Sr.) played basketball at University of Colorado.
