He's 6'3" and 330 pounds, and he's 15 and 1/2 years old, with 3 years of high school football left? Makes you feel for some of the guys that will have to line up against him.

If this young guy stays focused with a serious weight training and fitness program, he could be a real beast in a couple of years.

According to Gary Housteau's free update on the Glenville kids in San Antonio, Shawntel will transfer to Glenville in time for next season.

By BK... Rowell says his top 10/11 right now would be tOSU, Miami, LSU, Texas, Iowa, Penn State, Michigan, Purdue, Florida, Wisconsin and Indiana, in no particular order. Even though brother Chris plays at Iowa, Shawntel has never been to a game there.

Question-is he quick enough to play DT? W/ all the OL talent looking at OSU next year, he could be on the outside looking in if the staff does not project him as a DT.

I was thinking the same thing stxbuck. Hopefully he can play DT because I'd love to have him in the 08 class.

I believe that we are more interested in him as a DT than as an OL at this time...

Shawntel has a way to go before he is an OSU-level recruit.

Mostly his weight - he is far too heavy. Right now, he gets by on being bigger than his competition, but that won't be the case at the next level. He could have a more consistent motor as well. He's got plenty of time to work himself into shape, but he won't get an offer just because he's a Tarblooder.
