DT Shawntel "Shaq" Rowell (West Virginia signee)

I think with the current DT situation they may take a serious look (assuming he is at the weight he needs to be and has the grades). I know we are young in the middle but we need a good DT to go with Goebel and I'm not sure if Mobley will be a DE or DT. We aren't getting Thompson or Jones, so someone else would have to pop up. The staff showed a lot of attention to Shaq at camp when I was there and he said he would get an offer eventually but that just may be his perception of things.
I believe he has played OT all season and not much on the defensive side which also might be a reason for no offer. LJB certainly knows a lot more than me though.

Could be...I know another issue was his motor but I'm pretty sure being 340 lbs. and out of shape had a lot to do with it. Rowell had a long ways to go to get an offer but if he is indeed 300, had a decent senior year, showed good hustle, and has the grades, I would think he gets offered. Simply my opinion though and what a recruit says is not always the whole story.

Shaq enjoyed his visit to tOSU and says he will visit Illinois next weekend and likely a few more schools after Christmas.

If you ever doubted the Glenville "process" this article shows it is true. Shaq flat out says so...
