TRACY SPRINKLE ARRESTED, SUSPENDED INDEFINITELY

Ohio State defensive lineman Tracy Sprinkle was arrested Friday for an altercation at a bar, sources told Eleven Warriors. Sprinkle has been suspended indefinitely.

Sprinkle, a redshirt freshman, was named Division I co-defensive player of the year and a first-team Associated Press All-Ohio selection as a senior at Elyria High School. He recorded 103 tackles, 30 tackles for loss and 19 sacks for the Pioneers.

Sprinkle, the Northeast Ohio All-Lake District Defensive Player of the Year in 2012, won the Lorain County Golden Helmet award his senior season, given annually to the football-mad county’s top player. He was the first defensive player to be awarded the honor since fellow Buckeye Matt Wilhelm (Elyria Catholic) in 1999.

Hopefully he gets it straightened out and gets back on the straight and narrow for his sake. Probably was not going to factor in the rotation this year, but we will want him in our interior rotation down the road.

Exactly. If Carlos and Roby are of any indication probably between 3-4 game suspension.

With our coaches crunching scholarships I sure wouldn't he doing anything stupid as a back up. That's all they need to say SEE YA. I never get this stuff though

Lorain police have confirmed that Ohio State University athlete and former Elyria High School football payer Tracy Sprinkle was arrested July 4 on charges of possession of drugs, heroin, drug paraphernalia, rioting/failure to disperse.

Heroine? JFC... Bizarre considering some of the articles linked earlier about how good a kid he is and how he stayed "off the streets".

What worries me is that heroine is not something you pick up or start to consume by yourself. I really hope no one else on the team is involved. Most hopefully, there has been some poor reporting or misunderstanding

Ok, well that information (if true) may well be grounds for dismissal...

@Onebuckfan That is not how it should work. If it was simply a bar altercation like Roby or Hyde, he should get the same punishment. But heroin? Yeah, that does make it very different if true.
