Dwan Mathis (QB Temple Owls)

TIFWIW but I’m hearing Fields to FSU is basically a done deal. My info could be wrong, but I kinda trust it.

Francois is transferring or entering draft (which, well, ouch.........)
Flies in the face of other reports. Not saying you're wrong ... just that there's probably going to be a lot of rumor between now and whenever he does transfer.

Not sure why a qb would be champing at the bit to get to FSU either, to be honest. Nothing about the state of that program indicates sleeping giant to me. Frenchy getting out is more about self preservation so far as I can tell

Some guy on Twitter claiming a similarly reliable source has him locked in to OU citing Haselwood as the middle man. This gon be fun.

Well crap, this one stings. For some reason I missed this and thought we had pretty much kept everyone except for Battle...then saw this. Not thrilled at all on this. If we get Fields to flip (far from a sure thing), it helps lessen the blow. But assuming Haskins declares, we are really thin at QB for sure. The only more wishful thinking that the Mathis left because Fields is coming here is that he found out Haskins is staying for another year, though I highly doubt that.

Re: The Bulldogs flipped quarterback Dwan Mathis of Oak Park, Michigan, from Ohio State on the opening day of the early signing period on Wednesday. Mathis, who is the No. 299 prospect overall in the ESPN 300, previously committed to Iowa State, Michigan State and Ohio State during his whirlwind recruitment.

It appears like he did actually have a hard time deciding on a school.

Just sayin': If he is looking for a new nickname.......

Dad tweeted that Dwan signed with the dogs because of the opportunity there, not because of what OSU did. Implied that OSU did in fact ask him to either wait or not enroll early. Pretty lousy IMO. The only thing I can think of is they are expecting Fields or someone else.
