Edited my previous post, since the photo was of Quinton, not Ejuan. Here's both of them...

Ejuan Price, Woodland Hills (SR): Price could see some carries at running back to spell Pitts this season, but linebacker is where Price's future projects. He has his final choices narrowed to Ohio State and Iowa, and he'll get plenty of opportunity to show just how good he is as one of the veteran leaders of the Wolverines defense. (If you don't remember just how good that unit is, ask Gateway about last year's championship game.)

THE SKINNY

A hard-hitting linebacker who moves very well. Woodland Hills coach George Novak said Price can run the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. Price had 11 sacks last season for the WPIAL Class AAAA champion Wolverines, and he also could see some time this season at fullback. He is ranked the No. 11 middle linebacker in the country by Scout.com.
COLLEGE TALK

Price said he had narrowed his choices to Ohio State and Iowa, but also said he might open up his recruiting again. "I'm thinking about considering a few others now, too," Price said.

Price is right on defense at Woodland Hills

(AP)

PITTSBURGH ? Ejuan Price is the centerpiece of the Woodland Hills defense, the unit is that carried the team to the southwestern Pennsylvania large-school district title last season.

Woodland Hills went through a 12-week stretch in which it allowed more than seven points only three times and shut out its opponent in the district championship game.

It's an experience Price ? on The Associated Press East Region 25 list of top recruits ? said he will never forget.

"Success breeds success," said longtime coach George Novak. "He's proven he's a winner, and he's a team leader."

Price said being part of a defense like that "gives you confidence and puts you in the mindset of how a defense should play."

Novak, who has coached five district title teams in the past 15 years at the school, called Price "probably the strongest kid we have ever had" at Woodland Hills.

"And he can run. He's fast. He can run a 4.5 40 and can dunk a basketball. He's very athletic," Novak said.

As a junior, Price led the team in sacks with 11 and was second in tackles with 103. That type of season wasn't enough to satisfy him.

"I was kind of an impact player," he said, "but I want to be even more of an impact this year."

Price is practicing at tight end, fullback and guard, too, and also is quite capable of making an impact on offense.

He has a 3.2 GPA and above-average scores on his SATs and more than a dozen schools offered scholarships before Price whittled that list to two ? Iowa and Ohio State. He initially wanted to make a decision before the season started but now says he might push that timeline back a bit.

"Wherever he goes, he'll excel," Novak said. "He's the kind of kid you'd want your daughter to meet someday. And he's a big-time player."
