Elias Ricks (DB LSU, transfer to Bama)

Not sure if real or not, but things appear to be heating up here.

Why would a DB leave DBU?
Because they want to get drafted #3 overall to the Lions
or #19 overall to the Raiders
or #111 overall to the Falcons
or #4 overall to the Browns
or #11 overall to the Saints
or #15 overall to the Colts
or #24 overall to the Raiders
or #10 overall to the Giants
or #61 overall to the Saints
or #121 overall to the Steelers
or #31 overall to the Broncos
or #241 overall by the Rams

not to be debbie downer here…but the kid’s mentality was he looked at Ohio State and decided the school/program weren’t what he wanted. Why would now be any different? more importantly why would OSU want to go hard after a kid who already decided that the way of the Brotherhood and competing daily wasn’t for him?
just my .02

Could have been more of a location/family/convenience thing. You never know. We have seen the precedent set with the DL that went to Auburn first and the recent LB that went USC first.

He probably won't end up here but it's worth noting. He's a talent for sure.

As long as he knows what the program's expectations are and is prepared to meet them, why not. Kids can grow up alot from when they come in as freshmen. Look at Cardale.
