Elliot Dismissed from OSU football Team headline on Yahoo! news.

I know, I know....it's the other OSU, the one we drubbed in the Alamo bowl. These days though, the first thought that went through my mind was "Oh no! What now?!?!! I can't believe it's happening again!!...and who the hell's Elliot?"

Oh well, I'm sure the Underwood(s)/Maupin/Dukes thing will be up there shortly...surely ESPiN will jump on it!

The OSU guys who visit here are good guys and I hate this for them. However, check out this kid's prior record before even getting to Stillwater...imagine if tOSU recruited him. Amazing how selective the media is when crucifying programs...

Gundy dismisses Elliot from team

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy dismissed Prentiss Elliott from the team today, following the latest in a series of incidents associated with the Tulsa freshman.
Details are still developing, but an OSU source told The Oklahoman that Elliott had been dismissed for his part in a fight that broke out after midnight at a function hosted by Omega Psi Phi fraternity.

Elliott, who played wide receiver for the Cowboys last season, arrived at OSU with baggage, still facing charges of assault and battery of a Tulsa police officer for his part in a melee during a high school basketball game in December of 2003. Elliott's trail of trouble preceded that, notably with charges of first-degree burglary and feloniously pointing a weapon, at a former girlfriend, in May of 2003. Those charges were dismissed in September that year when witnesses declined to testify.

Elliott was named in a police report alleging he assaulted a 16-year-old girlfriend at a Sand Springs movie theater last March. When the girl declined to assist the prosecution, no charges were filed. Then in November, Elliott faced a complaint of assault by a former girlfriend, who claimed he pushed her outside his dormitory. Following an investigation, no charges were filed.

A statement from Gundy regarding Elliott is expected later today. Elliott is the second player, joining defensive tackle Brad Girtman, to be dismissed by Gundy in the past week.

Elliott played in all 12 games as a freshman for the Cowboys, finishing as the third-leading receiver with 19 catches for 304 yards and four touchdowns. His 809 all-purpose yards ranked second only to Vernand Morency.
