Gents -

Just felt the need to follow-up. Went w a 1.28 carat, excellent cut, color D. I wanted as much sparkle as I could get so I focused on cut and color. V happy w it.

Booked a room at the Benjamin this past weekend. Gen Mgr upgraded me to the top suite (two balconies overlooking NY - unreal view) and sent up champange and strawberries. His name is Andrew Labetti, and if you visit NYC I cant recommend the place enough. Had dinner at One if By Land, Two If By Sea. Quite the romantic spot, and another experience I can recommend.

Sprung it on her after dinner on the balcony. She said "Yes." :biggrin:

Felicitaciones. Adonde van para su luna de miel?

Where is her family from? I'm guessing Colombia or Venezuela, not much talent in the Andean countries (speaks from experience)

Thx Crump. Thinking Hawaii. You are correct, she is from Colombia. Ergo, there is zero chance we go to Colombia for our honeymoon. Given your apprent knowledge of the situation, I prob dont have to explain why.

I honeymooned on Costa del Sol in Spain, along with stops in Sevilla, Granada and Cordoba. Granted, my marriage only lasted a year or so, but we had a Hell of a time in Espana...while Bogota is getting better, I'm all set with South America. Let's just say I don't blend well there.
