Watson already announced to some Detroit newspaper that he is coming back to get his degree and take care of some "unfinished business".

"unfinished business", whats that Brett? Another bowl loss? Winning a bowl game is not a hard concept, but then again I'm saying this to a team who has figured out a way to beat a Tressel coached OSU squad 25% of the time.

"Unfinished business" could be anything from actually making an open field tackle to beating a traditional rival to winning a bowl game to passing scUM's "how to be gay" class.

This is a bad move on Watson's part. There are several NFL going to a 3-4 (all the rage now) and the key to a 3-4 D is a monster NT. Watson would be the best NT in the game to fill that position, therefore he would go fairly high. As much as I loved my college days and am supportive of getting an education, you won't find a job out of college that pays you 5 million to sign on the dotted line and another couple of million per year for 4 years. Take the money and run, risking an injury is too great (even with insurance).

When asked to elaborate, Watson clarified that he felt he needed to experience another three losses at the college level to be prepared for the ups and downs of the NFL.

Just have him ask Braylon "I'm tired of losing to them" Edwards if thinks it was worth it to stay for his senior year only to lose yet again in both The Game and the Rose Bowl.

I completely agree. Just look at <strike>Lawrence</strike> Willis McGahee, plus Big Gabe would've reportedly been drafted in about the middle of the first round. Thank god Watson is staying anyway.

I'm not going to bother defending Shazor, but the NFL scouts who look likely to pick Jackson at about number 10 in the draft know a bit more about football then us, I'd wager.

I fear our secondary is gonna be bad, but with Big Gabe and Lamar Woodley on the line, our defense will be fine.

Uh, that's "Willis" McGahee. Watson's a great run stopper, but provides little pass rush.

Does "fine" mean they will start holding teams to less than 30? Playing well in space is your D's problem (read too big and slow) not plugging a couple of gaps on the line.

You guys act like losing Shazor and Jackson will mean we allow 40+ a game. Leon Hall looks to have a lot of potential and it'd be hard for us not to improve replacing Curry. Burgess started to come on in the Rose Bowl, Woodley is a monster, Big Gabe is unmovable, and you know someone unexpected will step up (they always do in college football). So long as we fire Hermann we'll be fine.

Although, I should add that when I say "fine" I mean just that I expect Henne, Hart, Avant, and Breaston to score more points than everyone we play.
