Herbie said that it's just more crap ontop of everything else(but doesn't believe him), brought up the fact that OBrien is suing the school for $3M..

Corso basically said to forget about it and moved on to talking about the game.

Basically they cop'd-out of talking about it.

Canceled my SI subscription yesterday. I'm going to Sporting News.
I did that 14 years ago and still bitch at myself for not doing it sooner.

Unfortunately I also missed Gameday today. I did think that during the game Davie was showing much more than lukewarm support for JT and OSU.

a) I still think Bob Davie wants the D Coordinator positon under Tressel .. he has been VERY complimentary for a couple of seasons.

b) If you happened to watch the ESPN2 coverage of the USC-VT game earlier in the year, you would agree that they were probably encouraging the announcers to mention the situation. The Behind-the-scenes coverage of the earlier game showed the producers saying "When are we going to tease the Giants game" and "When will the XXX promo run".

Who cares, anymore, Herbs will be back on 1460 this week ranting and raving about how wrong this whole situation is - then he will show up on Gameday next week (not in Columbus) and avoid the issue again. I doubt he will mention it in his Friday Night ESPN college gameday radio show, either.

The NCAA will probably (according to Geiger) want to talk to Mo, but I bet they will say "Look kid, either spill everything now or shut the hell up" because he is basically making them look bad too -- implying that their investigations are a farce.

Local Sports Radio here in Chicago (not the ESPN channel) is saying that Clarett's plan is backfiring because "The NCAA, and Ohio State especially, are a free farm system for the NFL and GMs aren't going to look kindly upon someone that is trying to destroy that system".
