ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

the first edition of their eliminator (whatever the fuck that is) came out today and I saw this:

Anything they do to artificially inflate the SEC...

Oh, they're subtly dissing Clemson in hopes that 3 SEC! teams can make their way into the CFP....

Good point regarding OSU and Michigan, though. After handing out a few more ass beatings, OSU may have to drop UM in order to shore up strength of schedule.

Seems like as much as anything, they are knocking Clemson because they haven’t looked like a top-5...and that was the expectation when we entered the season.
Right, I get that. But to suggest that it could hurt tOSU's chances to make the playoffs because we finish with ttun (who was picked by a LOT of the media outlets - including this one - to win the B1G) is a small shot at ttun, but also lays the groundwork for taking shots at tOSU.

And then to take that opportunity to hype the SEC's defenses in Oklahoma's profile is another unnecessary self-promotion, IMO.....

The whole attempt to prop up SEC defenses is absurd when it's widely known that BigXII defense is otherworldly bad.

It's like scUM beating Rutgers...

Oh, so defense in the SEC is not absolutely pathetic? Well, good for you guys. :golf clap:

Right. And its not like Jalen Hurts sucked in the SEC. He did pretty fucking good playing QB at Bama too.

You are right, but I have to admit that dinging us for playing TTUN is a great dig at them. It’s really hard to get upset over when the LOLs just keep coming. IF I had TTUN buddy (which I don’t because that’s a fatal flaw to begin with) I’d run that loser constantly for killing my schedule by sucking so bad. And then encourage them to quit the sport to help us all out.

I hear ya. I know at the moment, its intended to be a tongue in cheek shot at ttun, but by the end of the season, those idiots at ESPN will seriously try to use it as ammo against including tOSU.
Probably true.

Still, this seems like a good reason for those MGoBlow trolls on this board to go over there and remind them that they are sucking SO BAD that the suck is impacting the rest of the conference.

The FPI somehow gets more comical as the season rolls on.

In the current edition.

http://www.espn.com/college-football/statistics/teamratings

2-3 South Carolina sits at #25. The 2 wins.....Kentucky and Charleston Southern

Washington somehow sits at #14 following a reeling 2nd loss to a bad Stanford team

Even though Florida just beat Auburn....Auburn #9 Florida #12

Missouri #17 (though I know its pointless to complain about anything ESPN inflating the SEC at this point its expected) add Texas A&M #16 to that list.

Only the finest of the maths in the FPI formula

Ranked SEC teams, AU/FL looked like a$$ Saturday but so did ranked B1G teams IU/tsun.

I catch all kinds of hell here for not pumping the B1G but let's look back, even going back to BCS before CFB, the SEC has been in the hunt 16-17 times (mostly Bama, but 3 or 4 others in there too,) the B1G just 6..... all us, except one MSU fluke.

The B1G needs to be stronger overall. Go ahead, tell me I'm a hater, but recent history tells the truth: nobody else in the B1G is helping. Do I think ESPN favors the SEC? I sure as hell do, but do I think other conferences were in the hunt WAY more than the B1G going back before the 2008 ESPN sellout to the SEC? Yeah, they were..... and it's tough to blame that on ESPN.
