So, tomorrow's the very last Mike & Mike, after 17 years.*

Just my best guess, but I'll be surprised if Greeny's show does terribly well in the ratings. Never talked to anyone who said he was their favorite of the two.

*Correction: 18 years. Started in 2000.

What I have noticed is that everyone who says that they hate the show seem to be the most frequent listeners.

I've listened periodically. Years ago, I used to watch a certain morning show host until one day when I realized that, more often than not, after listening to him I went away feeling worse rather than better. Stumbled on the Mike & Mike program, and found it a much more cheerful alternative. If they got onto a topic I found irritating, I know how to use a remote. I always liked their Halloween costume shows--those were fun.

Hey, that's me! Damned 315 commute making me a slave to The Fan...

Really the show was fine, those two mock-arguing about the big issues of the day on the way into work, with all the big names as guests, to pass the time on the drive to work.

I certainly don't expect Mike & Mike Jr & Wingo to be a big upgrade, but whoever comes next will be following their model anyway.
