In March 2006 during an incident on ESPNEWS, which is broadcast live, a taped segment played simultaneously with the normal anchor segment, causing her coanchor, Robert Flores, to be drowned out. Thinking their mics had been cut (which is the normal procedure when cutting to a taped segment), she exclaimed "What the fuck was that?" over the broadcast.
