ex-Miami/ex-Louisville LB Willie Williams (official thread)

LightningRod said:
''I think he's done just fine,'' Shalala said. ``He's followed every rule we've asked him to follow, and when he hasn't, someone has yanked him back and reminded him. He's been a good freshman.
Is it just me, or is this a complete contradiction? He's followed every rule we've asked, and when he hasn't, bla, bla, bla.

Rivals $ (CaneSport)

7/8

WW is the only player on the Miami roster who is not attending voluntary summer workouts. Rumors are circulating that he will request a release so he may transfer, but the release will not allow him to attend FSU, UF, or any ACC, SEC, or Big East school.

Too bad he can't take some official visits while deciding on the transfer, and write some online journals about what happens during those trips. :tongue2:

My favorite part of the earlier article is, "We ask a lot of our guys, so he didn't have to do anything extra."

That opens a huge hole at the U....they were counting on him to provide critical leadership during their next bench-clearing, post-bowl-game brawl.

But let's remember, they weren't asking anything extra of him! :slappy:

10 bucks says he ends up with Petey in Lala land. If not, maybe JLS will take him up in EL.

If JLS takes him, I will personally begin a letter/petition campaign for his immediate firing. There's already enough of that sentiment percolating around here that it just might work.

....Then again, there's also enough desperation around here that 'win at all costs' might just be a welcome attitude.
