Illinois has a safety ejected less than 4 minutes into the game. I still think targeting should be like the yellow card system in soccer. Do it once, yellow card. Do it twice, ejection. One and done seems too harsh.

Corn lost at home to Northern Illinois, rolling 21-3 at Illinois.

Seriously, how the fuck is Illinois so bad? Stop hiring names and bring in a good, young OC from a smaller school. Lovie is just collecting a paycheck, happy he didn't have to move after being fired by the Bears.

Well they have played 20 of 24 of their freshman so far. So it could be beckman's recruiting really really sucked...

Someone who can recruit but can't coach is certainly better than someone who is bad or mediocre at both. I'd say give Lovie another year or two to find out if they are getting better or it's gonna end up like Hazel at Purdue.

I'd fire Lovie tomorrow. He's an NFL coach, and a mediocre one at that.
