Anyone seen this new AP Poll? What a fucking disgrace these guys are.

After being exposed for keeping 1 loss FSU above Wisky they turn around and jump them with 1 loss Cal.

These fuck mooks also have UGA above Tennessee!!! UT went into Athens and beat UGA head to fucking head!!!!

FSU is the only 2 loss team still in the top 15 and Miami loses to a 4-4 UNC team and nearly stays top 10.

I know I'm the fucking asshole for falling for their bullshit and ranting about it but what a fucking joke. There just simply has to be a better way to run this thing than polls from biased know-nothing hacks. And the best part is their rightous indignation last year that the computers were fucked up and they were taking back control to give the system some common sense!!

Their votes should be made public and their voting status should be reviewd every 2-3 years so we can get rid of the worst of them.

I'm not sure if the Wisconsin thing bothers me as much as the UTEP at #25 thing and tOSU only receiving 7 points.

Do pollsters really think that UTEP is better than tOSU?? UTEP is 6-2 and their best win, I believe, was over Fresno State.

Our team is bad enough it can be beat by anybody.

Has Cal or Wisconsin beaten a ranked team this year?

Cal has played essentially the same schedule that USC has, and even though they lost to USC, they outplayed them in the game. Cal is legit. As for Wisconsin, they've played the same type of schedule we played in the first two-thirds of 2002, and look where we were ranked then...and there were just as many undefeated teams at that time.

I read a great article after the changes were announced to the BCS. The author suggested the real problem with college football rankings is the human polls. He was suggesting that taking the computer further out of it is only regressing. The author went on to propose a new ranking method which involved "experts" that actually watch the college football games rather than catching a couple ESPN highlights which always slants the highlights. There has to be a better way.

UGA is a media darling. The real crime is Utah in seventh. That team is definitely better than Wisconsin. I have seen all but one of their games and they are for real. It will be interesting when they finish the season undefeated.

I don't know about that. I don't remember the actual timeline, but by about this point in the season we had beaten Washington State and Penn State, both teams that were ranked all season. Wisconsin's best win has been against...Northwestern? Purdue? Neither is worth much this season.

Cal has played a bit better schedule, and they played well against USC, but they still haven't beaten a ranked team.

Going into last nights game Arizona State was ranked 20th. Cal is a better team, they beat up on UCLA and I think they're one of the best 3 loss teams out there. It would be nice if Cal and Wisconsin got a chance to play in the Rose Bowl :) That is the way things are looking.

Penn State wasn't ranked very high when we beat them.

This is why we need all 5 or 6 of the undefeated teams to end the season that way. Only 2 teams would get a shot at the NC, but the other three or four would not have a loss, rendering "the season is a playoff" argument void of all logic. All 5 teams would have won their "season playoff" so would they get a trophy? No, they weren't pretty enough. Hopefully a situation like this would crush the BCS, and insure a mini +1 or +2 playoff.

I think it has less to do with the BCS than it does the human polls. The BCS is a system to choose the best two teams in the country and put them against one another. It gets jacked up because humans have no idea who is better than who and don't watch nearly enough games to make these assessments. I think the way things are is awful, but a full blown playoff won't happen with the money involved.
