F Ivan Harris (official thread)

Glad that Harris was healthy today. He played well, managed not to get posted up much despite a size disadvantage, and had a nice offensive sequence early in the second half.

Agree...I thought Ivan did a pretty good job hitting the glass too. A couple times he kept the ball alive for Oden and he looked a lot more agressive yet under control. Espn guys even commented on how the role players all stepped up and played their roles really well...Harris, Lighty, Hunter...

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

ATLANTA -- He is the only player on the team who was on campus that day in June 2004 when Jim O'Brien was fired as Ohio State men's basketball coach.

Ivan Harris didn't think then, nor for a good while after, that the final game of his career would be for a national championship.
"Not really," he said last night with a wide smile. "Unless I was a football player."
Fewer than three months after the Ohio State football team had its night, the basketball Buckeyes will have theirs Monday, and one more time, Florida will be the opponent.

ATLANTA ? So it wasn't exactly a homecoming Saturday night for Springfield's Ivan Harris, but he sure looked comfortable in the Georgia Dome.
Ohio State's senior forward, so often lost in the glare surrounding the Buckeyes' much-ballyhooed freshman class, came up big in a 67-60 win over Georgetown as OSU's Final Four run was stretched to Monday night's title game.

Harris played great against Georgetown last night, and I don't even recall him getting any three-balls. I really hope he hits about 3 threes against Florida, as we're going to need the best out of everyone to get it done. He's a cool customer who will be able to drain those open looks if he can get any against the Gators.

The floor maturity from Ivan Harris is unreal. Just from the beginning of this season to now, it has been amazing to watch. The 3 he hit right in Georgetowns face at about 2 minutes in, Wallace I think, was awesome. The rebounding he and Hunter provided off the bench yesterday was prophetic. The team just seems destined to do this. Great all around game Ivan. One more big fella!

Ivan has been great in his time here...

He has probably taken more shit from fans than anyone in their career at Ohio State. He was a big time recruit McDonalds all american, but he didnt really get the big time minutes until his senior season. He showed up in big at times, with some big shots...

Not sure what the future holds for him, but whatever it is good luck to you Ivan...

Matt Sylvester would like to disagree. Otherwise, great post. Good luck Ivan.
