Bandwagon fans don't bother me. They didn't get out of 2002 what I did. They don't get the thrill of a scUM game like I do. They don't have the memories I have. 2002 is something they will soon forget. When somebody says the year 2002 to me when i'm old and gray...i'll know exactly what they are talking about. If you want to be a fair weather fan, you are just hurting yourself...because then you don't really get to understand and experience how great Ohio State football is.

So true - and in that case for me it was so much more than JUST the Bucks getting one over on Cryami.

Late 2001-2 wasn't exactly a bright spot in our family's life. Plant closings in NE Ohio were putting pressure on the job front - which all caved in just before the game aginst sCUM. To make matters oh so so fucking perfect we got word that my mother's condition was worsening. Gone from being just forgetful to full blown Alzheimer's - diagnosis one week before Fiesta time - lots of family coordination to make things right, get her in the right kind of care.

Heck of a holiday atmosphere.

So - for me, and my wife, and my son watching the Buckeyes beat the crap out of Cryami from whistle to whistle was much more than just a game, much more than just seeing the Buckeyes finally win the NC. It was a single shining glory and source of great joy in the midst of very trying and troubled times. Its something we will never forget -- Just like to tell 'em thanks - again.

So, I am at the hardware store picking up some stuff, and I am wearing my OSU cap. Some guy walks up to me, and says "Wow, I would be too ashamed to wear an OSU hat right now"

I actually paused for a minute because I was stunned.
He had a hot woman with him, and I said "excuse me miss, but you better keep your good looks, because if you have a bad day, this guy will leave you"
Then I walked away. He said something, but I ignored it.

I know that is kind of lame, but I was in awe that this asshole said this.
Sure hindsight responses are easy now, but at the time. yiikes.

I may be mad at the team, the coaches, and everything else. But this team could go 0-11 for the next 10 years, and they would still be my Buckeyes..
That was great what you said buckzip keep up the good work. im do mean that was a good reply. I hope I see that same idiot, I wont be a clever though. Anyways great thread.

Since we are speaking about it I guess I will chime in. Two years ago I flew up for THE GAME. I had the shampoo effect from the night before. (that means that only a few drinks set me into the buzz that I had from the night before.)

I entered the mens room near Gate 6 where I sit and I passed a guy in a Michigan helmet. I have been accused of being a drunken meat head in my past years. Maybe it was the fact that I was drunk, back on campus and ready to roll but I did a pretty dumb thing.

I grabed the guy by his face mask and threw him into the wall. Everyone, even the people pissing in the trough started cheering and then the guy started swinging at me. I got in a few and others jumped on top of him before it was broken up. It was a totally mean thing to do and will never do it again but I really, really hate this fucking team!!!!
LMAO.. ya fricken psycho... I love it though... I hope you got a couple good ones in before they broke it up... scUM sucks...

Since it sounds like you were in the mens room, you should have told the dude you were simply trying to get that large turd off his head...

Go Bucks..

It was dumb of me to do but I laugh about it now when I think about it. You guys also know that I wore the OSU National Championship tee shirt to the Orange Bowl last year for the Miami/Tenn. game and got it ripped off of me.

My girlfriend's friend, Kristen Morse has a brother Derek, who starts a RT for Miami. She is the nicest girl in the world but her father asked me to leave their home after we got into a debate on how OSU won and Miami lost.

I guess that I will never let some things go!

scUM fans weren't that bad last year when we went to the OSU game...that's too bad for them, because I wont' show any mercy this year. If you are willing to be a fan of that POS school, then you should be willing to get your ass kicked for it.

You guys are mean. I get the same way when Akron plays Kent. LOL

The Zips have a tough one this weekend. Go Hawks :) (I'm a Miami grad)

I'm pissed though that the MAC Championship is at Ford Field. It should be at the MAC East winner's home stadium. Last year Miami had to go to BG...it doesn't make sense that this year they have to go to a neutral site.

No way, Go Zips.

I don't know how tough it will be for Miami. Akron still has a shit defense.
I bet even the OSU offense could score 14 points on them.

If Akron can win, they will be playing for the MAC championship in Brookharts first year. If that is the case, there will soon be a new second best team in Ohio. With the new facilities, the upgraded campus, and hopefully a new stadium to go with JD. Look out MAC.
