Favorite OSU Football moment? (Merged)

I was in the corner of the endzone too, 11 rows up, and could hear the simultaneous thud of Sweed hitting the ground and the shoe becoming eerily silent. Settled for too many FG's. Great game, poor result.

The 02 title game was such a surprise. That Miami team was so talented and OSU had snuck out so many close wins against sub-par opponents that year. I just didn't see how we were going to match up. The fact that it went to Double OT to settle it still is the best NC game I have ever seen.
I was in section B literally right behind you...

My friend was a Texas fan and I remember screaming so hard for the Hawk INT I passed out. Then I could sense it was all going south when we just kept kicking field goals.

The ride home with my dad the next morning was quiet to say the least.

The pre-game hype for the 'canes, Dan Faust (?) cheering in the press box, the gangsta sideline, the bling, the Michigan level arrogance, "The warrior," all the calls that weren't made against Miami, Dorsey getting his ass pounded from the first play to the last.

What a wonderful drunk I put on that night and the joy was so great I had no hangover the next day.

I'll never forget the pile of drunk men jumping on each other in celebration on my friends family room floor after that one. The partying went on ALL NIGHT LONG. My 1st year in C-bus.....my close relatives told me we weren't allowed to leave bc we brought a Championship to Ohio. Unfortunately, we moved away in 09 bc of my wife's job. Miss Columbus everyday since.

Anyone that hasn't, do yourself a favor and read the oral history of that game written on the 10th anniversary. What's lost in it is that that was one of the most brutal college football games ever played.

Incredible read... I was only in the 11th grade at the time and didnt get much osu football since I lived in the south. I wish I could've appreciated that win more but I honestly think it's why I enjoyed the 2015 title so much.

I did watch that game with a Miami fan and it was very fulfilling to win just to shut him up.

If it's just a single moment and not the result of an entire game then it's even easier for me.

I have never personally had a single moment of pure joy like The Holy Buckeye play in my 40 some odd years of fandom.

That game, and that play, started off as the embodiment of the same old shit that always happened to us for my entire life up to that point. In one play everything changed.

This moment is definitely mine si

This by far is my favorite moment, but a big part of that is that I was in 7th grade and at that game with my dad in the front row in the endzone of Ross-Ade right where Jenkins hauled in that pass. First game on the road I had ever been to and getting in through traffic was a nightmare. Definitely good to qualify this as the best "moment", because the game was awful up until that point.

But man was that insane. I just remember everyone yelling "NO!!!" when everyone realized Krenzel was throwing deep instead of getting the sure first down, followed immediately by getting hugged to the ground by strangers in an absolute deafening roar with my dad. I would say the NC game that year was my favorite game, but that was my favorite moment. Defining moment and when that ball was in air, I swore it was coming right to my hands. Thankfully, it landed in Jenkins' and the rest was history. I loved afterwords hearing people in West Lafayette who weren't in the system saying that they thought they lost the game because it was 4th and 1, and they heard a huge crowd roar...only to be followed by the announcer saying in a defeated and muted tone "touchdown....Jenkins." All game that announcer was practically their cheerleader. Great times.

Edit: Wtf did I just watch that before trying to go to bed? Now my adrenaline level is way to high to fall asleep haha.

I watched the 2017 Penn State game last night. Down 35-20 in the fourth quarter, and 38-27 with about 4 and a half minutes to go. Still not sure how the buckeyes did it, but JT had quite a fourth quarter, even with the fumble that, at the time, I thought cost us the game. There were four of the most obnoxious PSU students dancing around in front of us during that game, and they sure got awful quiet at the end. I wish I had thought to take some videos of those assholes.

Was the only time I ever got to rush the field at a Buckeye game.

I was there for that... Such a great weekend.

It was Halloween weekend and I'd come into town with my cousin who knew a lot of current students. Pregame partied in a packed campus house for 8 hours, had seats in A deck, got on the field after the game (lost my cousin in the mess) and no joke sang Carmen Ohio with a buckeye player on both sides of me (I don't recall who they were as I wasn't looking).

We were so ready to party after that game but once we got home and got some pizza in us we passed out hard.

Such a good weekend.
