Favorite Farming tractor: John Deere followed by Ford.

Lawn Tractor: For big yards: Kubota

Normal yards: Cub Cadet or any Tractor with Briggs and Stratton engine.

Power tools, home improvement projects and now tractors...I'm not sure there are three subjects I know any less about.

...it's getting harder and harder around here for a guy to pad his posts before he goes back to work. :biggrin2:

I grew up on a farm where everything was John Deere. Thump, I know you didn't have much luck with John Deere lawn tractors, but our 316 lawn mower was great.

My favorite model of tractor that I have driven is the 9400:

Though my dad's new toy is pretty cool:

Nice choices, however, A Kohler engine blows a Briggs out of the water.

Be cautious about John Deere lawn tractors. Now that they have allowed places such as Home Depot to sell them, they are some quality issues with the newer lawn tractors.

brand wise-john deere they run better and are easier to fix.

my point of the old john deere lawn tractors (1xx,2xx,3xx,4xx series) being the shit and the new stuff(lx,gx,lt, gt) being shitty seems to be carrying weight.
