FB Dionte' Johnson (Official Thread)

I think the power the seniors assumed went out the door when Lydell was contemplating the loss at Iowa at the strip club...
Disagree. Fox and Fraser are two of the most liked guys on the team. Just not enough of them playing to have control over a team, I don't think. Ross... well he certainly didn't help anything.

I have to agree with his weight...if/when he gains 20 more lbs he will be a monster at FB. Get some rear end behind him and he will not get blown up anymore.

The key to being a great hitter is not being afraid to throw your body around and he's got it. I think he'll be a really good FB when he hits the weights and puts on the weight.

I went to Eastmoor when it was Eastmoor. The football field was named Griffin field in the late 70's after you know who.....Coach Stewart was a friend of Woody and a Buckeye all the way. Dionte has a bit of history to go on I think, besides the obvious!! :osu:

I think right now making 3-4 good blocks a game to spring Pittman would count as being a monster FB, when you compare him production OSU has had for the last few years.

He certainly shows the knack and the yearning to smack.

Golly, I was surprised to see #49 knocking a 'backer last week!

Joe seems to be a tweener. He wants to be a tailback and can't. Was made into a fullback and isn't. He is a weapon- how to use him effectively is the question??

Dionte is a mad man.............let him hit. :2004:

Unfortunately, Brandon Joe can never get healthy and stay healthy. I like what Dionte brings to the table as a FB, with an OL mentality of just smashing heads, and intensity. Hopefully he will play a huge role in this Saturdays game against PSU , and take playing time away from Schnittiker.

I haven't heard anyone praise this young man for his performance yesterday. On the 99 and 97 yard drives he had some awesome blocks for Branden Joe. He lit up Roy Manning on one of the runs. The kid is gonna be the starting FB the rest of his career at OSU. Hes a young Jamar Martin. I hope he blows some people up in the BowlGame. Hell of a game and I bet Pepper was a proud papa yesterday.
