FB/LB Curtis Terry (Official Thread)

Curtis has been an absolute wrecking ball this year. It seems that Curtis is a surer tackler than Marcus and plays stronger against the run. I'm sure Marcus will still be out there in nickle situations as he plays well against the pass.

Curtis was basically thought to be the biggest reach of the 2004 class. More than a few people thought Curtis was offered as a token of appreciation to Glenville and TG Sr. Curtis definitely looks like one of the three best LB's on this team, and deserves to start a game.

I think Curtis better fits the description of a Leo than Marcus Freeman does. I think Curt's the best QB/pass rushing LB that we have on the team. And it might be just me, but I think Freeman fits in as more of a Will than a Sam/Leo... but you gotta get your best players on the field

Completely agree with you guys on CT. Played HUGE against Texas! I'm definetly looking forward to seeing him more on the field in the games upcoming. Keep working hard Curtis!!

I, too, have been impressed with Terry's agressive play. He always trys to strip the ball when assisting on a tackle and can bring the wood on the blitz, as was seen against UT. I think he brings a physical element to the LB position, that is very much needed. I expect him to start for the rest of the season.

He has had to have put on 20 lbs since he got here. I remember thinking that he looked more like a large safety than an LB...not anymore!

Scout had him at 205 when he committed. The OSU roster has him now at 235, but he looks bigger than that.

There's no way that Terry is 10 pounds lighter than Freeman (according to the roster and depth chart)...he looks around 250 and is built like a DE. Plus he has a 40-inch vertical...

...true junior.

Bio quote:

2005 (Sophomore): Played in all 12 games last year, almost all of his time coming with the special teams ... had two tackles - one against Texas on kickoff coverage and the other against Northwestern ...

2004 (Freshman): Carved a niche for himself with the special teams and played in all 12 games ... was a member of the punt coverage, punt return, kickoff and kick return units ... earned his first varsity letter.
