FB/LB Curtis Terry (Official Thread)

Did anyone else notice that Terry looked HUGE on the sidelines at the NCG? His return next year (and Wilson) will really help to sure up the run D and also help to soften any losses from this year's line *cough* big Vern *cough*

It will be nice to have Terry back next year. He brings a nice pass rush to the table.

Off topic a little, but next years defense will be less about who stays/returns and more about what kind of philophy they use. It's time to develop some new looks.

I agree.... also Terry DID LOOK ENORMOUS though... He looks like he's put on a good 15-20 pounds and it's muscle. If Freeman, and Animal return we'll have one hell of a linbacking corps. Also Terry is known for his run stopping abilities which will be a welcomed attribute! I thought our linebackers could use a little work with tackling and Terry will help this area of our linebacking corps

I've seen a lot of comments about his ability to stop the run. I thought I remembered him being a blitzing LB'er? What are his strengths?

Hitting.. hitting hard.. I remember he almost killed Colt McCoy on a blitz..

Favorite Terry moment was when he stood up Caulcrick at MSU in 06.. just drilled him and drove him back about 5 yards.. and that dude was like a 250 pound RB

Sounds like he did get some reps in the scrimmage today at FB

?We like Curtis (Terry). He has a little bit of size and a little know-how. We wanted him to work a lot at fullback so he did not have to start from scratch going into camp. We have also gotten a few other guys some reps, including (Austin) Spitler. We will have to evaluate that position after spring.?

A note on his jersey number in the coverage of today's scrimmage.

bucknuts (Free)

Terry has moved from No. 55 to No. 99, an eligible receiver number, so he could play in the backfield. He wore a black jersey as a member of both teams on Saturday.

Cont'd ...
