THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

PICKERINGTON -- Junior Zach Boren did a little bit of everything last night and the result was a win for Pickerington Central over visiting Lancaster in a Division I playoff game.
Boren ran for two touchdowns and intercepted a pass to lead the Tigers to a 21-7 victory.

Film of Boren playing mostly at LB with some RB/FB.

Wasn't expecting a whole lot, but he's another one to add to the top 50 in Ohio list (if he isn't already on there). Pretty impressive video. Seems to have a real knack for causing fumbles or recovering them.

Top 50 football player...no doubt.

Top 50 D-1 prospect...not positive.

I like grinders don't get me wrong, Zach is my kind of football player...but I see him as limited at the next level. However, it would not shock me to be completely wrong and he ends up as a stud.

Sorry about the link there. I'm still asleep until 7:30.

By top 50 in Ohio, I was reffering to Buckeyecty4's list in the 2009 recruiting thread. A top 50 overall elite prospect in D1-A recruiting, definetly not. He's a solid prospect and should end up in a BCS conference somewhere, though. With the love for scUM in that family (I think he was the one that cried when Justin was considering going to tOSU?) and scUM's need for defense, I think he'd be a great pickup for the skunkbears.

Absolutely, I was following you...just not as high on him I guess.
It's hard to project him as someone to offer considering where we stand at both LB and FB considering our late FB commit in 2008. I like gamers as much as anyone, but it just doesn't seem like this will be the right fit.

From the OSU site...talks about his unofficial visit to OSU and talks about the fabeled story of his being adamant about his brother going to UM. Also talks about what position he sees himself playing at the next level.
