I just quickly checked the Massey predictive model. Given the performance of both teams this year, the chances that Ohio State scores 44 points was less than 1.5%. It was the most points scored on ND who kept all but 3 opponents below points. The chances that Ohio State would win by 16 were less than 4%.

The probabilities for The Game outcome were about the same.

Let's see, what was different?

I'll paraphrase

(Elliott wasnt available for the press conference, and a reporter asked JT a question.)

Reporter: "Ezekiel, this was your last game-"

JT: "I'm not Zeke"

Reporter: "I know that"

JT: "Then why did you call me Ezekiel Elliott?? That's not my name"

Reporter: "Is Elliott not here?"

And it went on for anot her 30 seconds. Was pretty awesome. Hope there's a video of it

I was embarrassed for that guy. Needed to come up with a "I forgot my glasses" excuse in a hurry. (Did you get the feeling JT was offended? It seemed to me that he thought the guy just couldn't tell them apart, as in, all look alike...etc.)
