I think I misunderestimated you. I agree Snead was more highly touted out of HS but that is a separate issue I really wasn't addressing in my post. My point was McCoy went from a struggling redshirt freshman getting manhandled by a superior defense in the beginning of 06', to breaking records later that year and now being one of the best QBs in college football. The Snead situation was relevant to McCoy getting the job, not so much to his development as the quarterback we've seen IMHO.
I was just addressing the "highly touted" portion of your post. I got the point of the rest of your post. Or at least that's my estimation. :tongue2:

Welcome back to the board longhorn fans

Just wanted to say welcome back to the UT posters that have been gone since our last meeting. I look forward to the banter that is sure to ensue as the game gets closer.

Go Bucks!

Yes, I think that makes someone less of a fan, but you consider it what you want.

Heres to you thinking we will lose!:cheers:

Ridiculous. I'm a huge Browns fan, but I regularly expect them to lose, doesn't make me any less of a fan. Wanting them to win and expecting them to win are two different things and only the first has any bearing on one's status as a fan. Like I said, blind homerism is fun.

On a side note...the Big Ten Bowl games:

Ohio State v. Texas
Penn State v. USC
Georgia v. Michigan State
South Carolina v. Iowa
Kansas v. Minnesota
Missouri v. Northwestern
Wisconsin v. Florida State

I'd love to prove everybody wrong, but it looks like the Big Ten will be underdogs in all the games except maybe Iowa's. This would be a great chance for the Big Ten to prove everybody wrong...but I really only care about the first game on that list. I'd be very happy with the Big Ten going 1-6 in it's bowls, if the 1 is the Buckeyes :)

They say it's all about the matchups. Well the matchups don't look particularly friendly to the B10 teams. I'm seeing five blowouts.

Ohio State v. Texas
Penn State v. USC - USC is going to pass for 3402 yards.
Georgia v. Michigan State - :(
South Carolina v. Iowa - snooze.
Kansas v. Minnesota - over 100 points?
Missouri v. Northwestern - I could see this being close, but... eh
Wisconsin v. Florida State - Haven't seen FSU much, but Wisconsin is not very good.

South Carolina vs. Iowa a snooze??? :shake:

You really must not like college football. That's going to be a good game. Is it because it's two non top 25 teams? Big Ten vs. SEC...I like Iowa in a close one in this game...and I am definitely looking forward to it.
