Anyone else think it would be fitting if Ohio State has a chance to avenge both losses to UNC and Florida on the way to our second National Championship?

I sure do......it would be beyond words to beat both those teams.....
:oh: :io:

That's what I was alluding to earlier. Just think. We lost three away games to no less than a #2 seed, all of whom were ranked in the top 10 at the end of the season, and and all in early season games.

We beat Wisconsin twice. If we beat UNC and Florida, who can say they are better than us?

Which other team has a chance to beat every team that it lost to on the way to the National Championship?

even in the case that UNC would lose, ohio state would still play georgetown which would be payback for the loss to them in the tourney last year. im sure that sticks well in the minds of the upperclassmen.

SportsCenter said that this will be our 10th Final Four (tied for sixth-most all-time), which is more than any other Big Ten team (yes, even Indiana). Here is what I've found for our nine previous appearances:

1. 1939: Lost to Oregon 46-33 in first-ever NC title game.
2. 1944: Lost to Dartmouth 60-53 in semifinal.
3. 1945: Lost to NYU 70-65 in OT in semifinal.
4. 1946: Beat California 63-45 in consolation game (lost to North Carolina 60-57 previous game)
5. 1960: Beat California 75-55 for national title
6. 1961: Lost to Cincinnati 70-65 in title game.
7. 1962: Lost to Cincinnati 71-59 in title game.
8. 1968: Beat Houston 89-85 in consolation game (lost to North Carolina 80-66 previous game)
9. 1999: Lost to Connecticut 64-58 in semifinal.
wait. i thought we had no basketball history....

yup i know whoy kyle madsen is. i just hadnt realized that hed been mentioned. though he was listed in the program for the lex round.

care to break down kyles game for me?
Not anymore than what is said in the link and in the BR thread. He will play the 4 I imagine and maybe some 5. That of course would depend on what happens with the team between now and then and on how much he improves. It certainly won't hurt to have another big body in the paint. If he is a true 6' 10" and 250 that can also jump we are in like flynn I think.
OBJ probably knows more about him than most.

Clash of the Titans.

Just a few thoughts.
If yesterday's Oden shows up,,, look out!
I counted one high screen yesterday in the first half for Lewis and he easily nailed the trey. Need a few more of those early for him.

Every so often I pick a dark horse favorite. This year is Lighty. It's awesome to seem him finally smooth out his game and produce.

Go Bucks!!
